Good evening Jonty and welcome to the Up North Old Codger Crew You young Sir will be running in memory of one of the crew who sadly succumb to the pesky covid virus which is rife amongst us humans John Allen(Jonty) was a wee Scottish gentleman with a huge heart who was a member of the bunch of misfits who go by the name of the Old Codger Crew Hopefully you will be trialing later this week and I am very much looking forward to seeing what you have in your locker and one thing that you most certainly will have is a big jacket you seem to be a big old unit I also noticed that you have had four runs in Ireland winning your first two trials and finishing in mid division in your two races Plenty for your trainer Bev to work with

Feasgar math Jonty Tomorrow sees you off on your travels destination kinsley! After your two trials the racing office have graded you A6 and my form guru tells me that it's not that harsh You have been allocated the three box and the pace from the traps should come from the two hounds in four and five and in your trials you look like you want the rails so young fella borrow the "Storytellers" trapping boots get yourself a smash break to get on the rails and then paws to the floor But in the real world if you enjoy your race and have a trouble free run that will do for me By the way Jonty I have just had a look at Kinsleys official card and next to your name is my name Phat Winney your very proud part owner Exciting times!

Feasgar math Jonty What a debut done on the line you young fella ran a absolute cracking race A smash break (a big thumbs up to the Storyteller for allowing you to borrow his trapping boots) and then paws to the floor only to run out of gas near the line Talk about excitement me and the crew were going ballistic so much so I thought "Purple Ronnie" was going to have a coronary You Jonty stepped up to the plate and although you got pipped on the post you delivered a first rate performance and the person you are named after will be looking down with a huge smile on his face

Feasgar math Jonty Early to bed young fella as you are down to have your second run at Kinsley tomorrow and you are competing in the same grade as last time where you ran a race full of promise Maybe you needed the run last time so hopefully you will strip fitter tomorrow and show a clean pair of paws to your competitors Good luck Jonty and fingers crossed your race is free from incident and you come back safe and sound
