GREYHOUND STAR — SEPTEMBER 27, 2022...  Pat and Julie celebrate on of the three Select Stakes won by kennel, on this occasion, with the dog he rates 'the fastest I ever put a lead on'. Photo: Steve NashPat Rosney has his final graded runners at Perry Barr today after more than 40 years training greyhounds. There will be a race named in his honour on Thursday night’s Birmingham Cup/St Leger undercard.
This is the first part of an interview recorded earlier this week looking at the early days on the independent tracks and the transition to ‘licensed’ racing. I make no excuse for the familiarity and lack of professionalism of the interviewer as he catches up with an old mate.
