It took the hosts 15 minutes to open the scoring at the MKM Stadium with a neat grubber kick into the right corner that Darnell McIntosh was able to pounce on.
Hull FC struck down the right again just three minutes later β Cameron Scott spotting a gap in the Salford defence and strolling over.
Scott doubled his try tally for the afternoon in the 25th minute, going over down the right once more after he was first onto the end of his own chip kick towards the corner.
Joe Lovodua powered his way over the line in the 27th minute to extend Hull FCβs lead, before Salford responded with our first try of the game just over five minutes later.
Marc Sneyd sent a high kick towards the post on the last, that Tim Lafai was able to scoop comfortably from the sky and ground under the sticks.
Half-time: Hull FC 20-6 Salford Red Devils
Six minutes into the second forty, Sneyd saw yellow after an altercation with former teammate Jake Connor.
The next ten minutes saw Jake Connor crash over and Jordan Lane score twice for the Black & Whites.
Reynolds got himself on the scoresheet in the 66th minute, powering over the line to the right of the sticks.
Salford responded two minutes later through Ken Sio, who darted over in the right corner after quick hands from the Red Devils.
Chris Satae scored Hull FCβs last try of the match less than five minutes later, before Lafai made it two tries for himself on the night with a few minutes to go β diving onto the end of a grubber kick into the in-goal area.
