Legendary Rugby League figure Maurice Lindsay, who helped revive the fortunes of Wigan Warriors and establish the Super League back in 1996, has passed away aged 81

Top man was Maurice brought rugby league into the modern age.also a decent bookie on racecourse or Bolton dogs always lay a decent bet.if I remember he didn't like the colour green.when Rupert Mugdock sent him a rand new Bentley it was green.

MAURICE.i had some real set-tos with Maurice.[when I worked at Bolton.]then one night he was at b/v and he said. come on dave get me on b/v.I'm sorry I dont have the connections.HE was ok was Maurice. very big with wigan warriors. and rugby in general. THERE were many stories about Maurice. but I found him ok . may he rest in peace.

He did a lot for the greatest game let's face it without the man where would the game be today.
There was a minutes applause yesterday before our game with Catalan which was very fitting for man.
Rest In Peace Mr Lindsay.
