Yes your right james we have now moved both our dogs onto Nottingham. If we had to watch our dogs run at the bookies we thought Notts was a better choice, which was made easier in Feb when the dog we sent won two races plus one run and left us in credit of £120 for that months kennel bill, while my other dog, granted running in a lower grade won two races and still a kennel bill of about £50. ( eli gum). I understand bags are needed but so are owners, if the racing office spread the dogs about so owners could have a chance of watching their dogs at night this would help. My last count eli gum had spent 18months of his racing life on the bags, most of which when they only had one bags meeting at BV..

Your spot on 'JC' BAGS are need but sadly owners are thin on the ground these days and in truth the vast majority of greyhounds racing at venue's that have BAGS contracts are either owned by the trainers or run for prize-money with an owner not paying any monthly kennel bills.

When you said, they were not very nice did you mean the racing office,or the mob at the gate.

Trouble is dogs get stuck on bags .Wouldnt be so bad if you knew you would get 1/2 your dogs runs on bags and 1/2 on Friday or Saturday. But doesn't happen like that

This was one of my points, it cant be hard to rotate the dogs which owners would prefer to run on fri or sat night. i.e. week one run sun, week two wed, week three fri week four saturday, at least you would get a fair crack of the whip, the way its been my arse is redraw....

A good Racing Office Team have no need to have all contract trainers doing 4 meetings a week, and if they gave a little more thought / consideration when frameing the race-cards not all trainers would be required to have runners at the BAGS meetings.
Therefore owners greyhounds would not get stuck on the BAGS and race more on either the Friday or Saturday race cards over a period of time.
BUT PERHAPS I AM EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM THE GRADER ON THIS MATTER ?

SOUNDS OK IN PRINCIPLE 'JC'
BUT IT WOULD REQUIRE ALL OF THE 16 BELLE VUE CONTRACT TRAINERS TO ATTEND 4 MEETINGS A WEEK AND AS YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT PRACTICE DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH THE MAJORITY OF TRAINERS AT THIS TIME DOWN AT THRE ZOO.
