Now there's only 12 races on a Friday night does this mean an extra six greyhounds can trial before racing?

When you kick off the night with a five dog race, of which one trainer has four of the field...As Tony said ...things can only get better..

I think plenty of dogs would be bought if a sale was run at the zoo as long as the organisers play fair

There is a shortage of hurdlers on the strength at this time at Belle Vue.
The main thing is the BV RO have put on a race for the hurders that are available.
Also it's not trainer Lllewellin fault that she has 4 in the race at least there all getting a run out this week.
I myself recently bought two hurdlers but sadly one went lame and the other has now been re-homed.
There is without doubt a shortage of hurdlers and if things don't improve soon this could spell the end to graded hurdle races down at the ZOO.
We have 16 contract trainers down at the track and it's a great pity that each of them could not have at least one hurdler in there care!

with most kennels hurdlers are a bye product.they were always the dodgy dogs that made it to the hurdles.the prize money is tremendous.and most of the hurdlers we have had got frequent runs and well earned there keep.no id love a few hurdlers.its just everything we have tried recently hasnt quite jelled.

If BV indeed want to put on hurdle racing and have a shortage of dogs, a set of handicap traps could solve a lot of their problems....
