It was good to have a runner at another track and also to see some old friends.
We use to go to Doncaster twice a week many years ago, it's a nice set up but of course it's not on our door-step not like the ZOO
which is only 7 miles down the road these days.
Hopefully 'BLUE' will get accepted and he will be back at Doncaster next Wednesday. |

It will be interesting to see how our new greyhound SURPRISE VOTE runs out of the six box and also how he handles the stiff 483m trip up at 'DONNY' on Wednesday night.
The fav CARLOS COURT is a real top class greyhound and will take all beating... COME ON 'BLUE'

A real gutsy performance tonight at Doncaster from our new greyhound Surprise Vote.
Racing over the testing 483m trip for the first time and from an unfavourable draw in the stripes with him being a middle seed all in all he did very well.
He got a little tired close home and forced a dead-heat with the classy Carlos Court in a very respectable time of 29.40 on normal going.
I was really pleased for our trainer Ernie Upton who tells me the dog has settled in very well at his new home.
Now then another thing we were very pleased off was of course backing him at 7/4 with-out the fav enough said on that one only to say the journey home did not seem like 85 miles more like 40..
Hopefully 'BLUE' will come out of his kennel tomorrow morning in good order and then I have a feeling trainer Upton will book him a solo trial over 470m at the ZOO next Tuesday but of course that's his job to decide the next step.

TRAINERS REPORT THIS MORNING:
'BLUE' came out of his race last night at Doncaster in good nick all be it a little tired
The plan is now to give him a solo-trial out of trap 3 at Belle Vue next week...
