No sort of a run around the first bend and race over. The dog seemed to pace well going down the back but he was fighting a losing cause. Hope connections have better luck in the dog's next race.

THE UPS AND DOWNS OF GREYHOUND RACING..
Just got back from the vets after his race last night at Sheffield Surprise Vote was found to be lame.
He now faces a 4/6 week lay-off due to a strained hock.
It was a blessing that our trainer took the dog to the vets this morning because he was due to race this coming weekend up at Doncaster.
THAT'S GREAT RACING FOR YOU UP ONE MINUTE DOWN THE NEXT...

TRAINERS REPORT TODAY:
SURPRISE VOTE has been checked over today.
He has responded well to the treatment for his recent injury and will start swimming and walking machine as from next Monday.
The dog won't be rushed back and it's looking like a return to racing in January fingers all crossed.
