Sadly agree that the prize money is very very poor but also agree sadly thatβs always been the case and will always be the case but it is a fact and is a massive reason why owners donβt invest in dogs to race there anymore. Itβs possible you can win 3 races in a month with a low grade dog and still get a kennel bill, that cant be acceptable? Another issue which has been highlighted is I personally feel having the option to see you dog race one night a week only isnβt acceptable and doesnβt fit most peopleβs lives. Surely look at student nights, family nights, bands after racing, itβs a wonderful place to be and race greyhounds but sadly one occasional post on Facebook saying book a table in the restaurant and we will give you a pitcher for Β£10 isnβt going to bring in new customers, Open the bar at the far end for owners rather have them perched on fixed seating near the fast food counter and make then feel like owners ? The catchment area is massive but sadly doesnβt get utilised. On the radio I regularly hear adverts for Sheffield and Nottingham greyhounds but Iβve never heard one for Belle Vue (Apologies If thatβs incorrect as I donβt live in Lancashire) ... You get extra out of a business if you put extra in and sadly I donβt see too many people who can at the Zoo wanting to go the extra mile ?

thinking out loud.the dogs available are not of the required class and just lately the grading has been tighter than a nuns, thingy. there's plenty of top type runners not many middle grades and tons of low grades. now plenty would argue with that, so post your version of graders.

IT'S ALL VERY SIMPLE WHEN YOUR GRADED STRENGTH TAKES A DIP 'benny'..
DROP THE GRADING IN TIME - AND MOST OF ALL RE-STRUCTURE ALL THE GRADES
IE: A1 DOWN A2 AND SO ON...
OF COURSE BY DOING THIS THE TRACK WILL ALSO BE SAVING ON THE PRIZE-MONEY THEY DISH OUT..
OR AM I BEING A WEE BIT CYNICAL!!!!!!!!!!!

18 month contracts coming to an end? I understand that it's an 18 month notice period- you have to hand your notice in and then work out the 18 months not 18 months from the day you sign it, I maybe wrong?
