UPDATE - FOBVS:


Hi All,

As forecast, and, pretty much as expected - even before the excellent news broke that ARC had completed the buyout of GRA, we are not on the Planning list for November!

Being as the December date for the next planning meeting clashes with the date of the forthcoming General Election, one can only assume that we are unlikely to be on the December list either! January here we come!!

Nothing is certain regarding December, and by this date I would certainly hope to have heard further news on our way forward following the buyout - here's hoping we get an update sometime soon, any positive news, is always good to hear!

The "FOBVS" team fight to save our Stadium will be having its anniversary around this time, and here's to hearing sometime soon, when better than by this anniversary date!

Have a good Xmas everyone - I will of course, update as we go, whenever I have news!

BELLE VUE PLANNING APPLICATION HEADS TO 2020...
 
GREYHOUND STAR — NOVEMBER 1, 2019



Manchester City Planning Department have stated today that the application to redevelop Belle Vue Stadium will not be on the November 14th Agenda.

The next date it could potentially appear is December 12th, the same day as the general election which makes it doubtful.

Campaigner Simon Walmsley said: “Whilst it was welcomed news that ARC had bought the GRA, this planning application is still “live” and we still need help from our supporters.”

⭐️ December Planning Meeting Goes Ahead !! ⭐️

Due to the General Election the Manchester City council meeting set for 12th December
has disappointingly been rescheduled to the 19th December. 

We will now have to wait until the agenda is formally set,
to see if the developer's planning application appears.

FOBVS - UPDATE - XMAS AMBUSH!

Hi All,                                                                                                                   
Many have been complaining that they want this Planning business done and dusted! 

It very much appears that they they have got their wish with today's news - hot off the press!

I have just heard from Simon who has just spoken with Jeni Regan, it is her last day today and she finishes at lunch time. 

The planning hearing on the 19th of December will close its agenda on the 11th, this is normally 14 days before but a different council department is drawing up the papers this time around. 

The likelihood of us appearing on this Agenda is almost certain in the words of Jeni Regan so we must prepare for another wonderful Christmas present like last year !!

Well all i know is that a lot of people have worked very hard in trying to keep greyhound racing alive here in Manchester.

They all know who they are and i am very proud to call them my friends.

We all no THE 'WAR' IS ABOUT TO KICK OFF -

I feel the Friends Of Belle Vue Have Done A Great Job.... All We Need Now Is Things To Go Our Way...
