REF:Friends of Belle Vue Stadium (FOBVS) & appeal for Proactive registered support
Friends of Belle Vue Stadium
A proactive supporter registration - showing support for our beloved ZOO!
In recent times there have been many rumours of the impending closure of our stadium, which has of course been a serious concern to those of us who care.
It is my considered opinion that Belle Vue Stadium should be classed as an Institution, and that interested parties - should there be any, should be looking to improve and develop the stadium as an Entertainment & Leisure complex rather than allowing the current slow and gradual decline along with the lack of news regarding our future and the uncertainty that this inevitably creates.
We think that this would be the right time for like-minded people to show support by adding their full details to a pro-active supporter listing to be held in readiness should the need arise for showing further support in whatever manner we can!
Your details will not be open to public scrutiny without first obtaining your permission.
It must be stressed that there has NOT been any notice given by Crown Oil nor has any planning applications been received by the council.
We consider that it would surely be prudent for us to plan now and be proactive in this.
Boy Scout and all that.
Contrary to popular belief β much thought and many hours of hard work has been put in behind the scenes during the last few months, with a view to not only silencing the doom and gloom merchants, but to proactively provide and process a plan going forward should there be a need to use it!
Simon Walmsley being our point man in all of this, has put in many hours of hard work, with his experience and expertise proving invaluable along the way!
Thanks to the supporters who responded readily to my recent request from me for their support and details to a submission Listing β
I can confirm that Simon has now submitted an application for an Asset of Community Value Order for Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium with Manchester City Council.
Simon has also applied to Historic England to register the Tote board and building.
There are a number of other measures under consideration! Should the results of recent submissions prove positive, it would be a welcome addition to our proactive plans going forward.
Please join our support group β It is my intention to proactively build a FOBV support listing, the more the merrier please!
Either pm me with your full name and full postal details or alternatively text same to 07402803002 β thanks.
*Should you know of others, friends, associates, and family, who perhaps donβt use the forum, but would like to support our listing, I would appreciate you passing this on.
Whenever I am able β I will update
Alan
**Thanking responding supporters β letβs hope that we never have the need for further action!!
