while we live in hope, i think it`s time to move on, if the two brothers didn`t think bv was worth the investment and let`s face it they could have wrote a large amount of the sale price off within their company what chance have most of us got. Westhoughton ellesmere port both gone recently, because they couldn`t make it pay and the land was worth more. A better chance would be to find land and build a track...they will come...but you would have to guarantee a bag`s or sis contract...so good enough for dog racing banger and speedway concerts etc..

WELL, YOUR WRONG AGAIN. I have offered to put into the pot. many times. as long as it is overseen by solicitors to have no bent operators. then I will put a substantial amount in. much more than has been offered up to yet by anyone else. however, there are as usual no others who want plenty out but won't put in. having said all that.it has to be matched and verified by the correct people. not just airy-fairy bullshioters i take my hat off to you DAVE for making it plain that you or will to put your hand in your pocket to safe the ZOO it shows you still care about the old place ,,but it seems your the only X BV trainer to do so the rest don't seem so forth coming ,,,,in fact I cant remember the last time a X BV trainer posted on hear with any input to save the zoo only your self seems to take the time to do so ,,,, the rest or as scares as rocking horse sh-t.

Your rite dave. The builders made an offer it doesnt give them any rights of compensation why should they. If you put an offer in for a property and some one gazzumps you, you have no rights whatsoever to compensation it's tough s##t. 1000 people putting 5k each in would be sufficient to buy the land and get the track up and running in my eyes. Theres a lot of people in greyhound racing who can put there hands on 5k. How many trainers was on belle vue when it closed must of been 15+ and only 1 has offered to invest. It just shows that there willing to take every pound they can out of the place but not prepared to put a shilling back in so with support like that you have no chance. I wonder how many of belle vue ex trainers would apply to come back and how many more trainers from else where would apply if the track got up and running again with a proper management team in place. TO MANY TO NAME WOULD BE MY GUESS

Hi ALL...... Just so that we can put an end to all of the wild speculation, misleading innuendo, false promise, and more importantly - any hope of resurrecting our Stadium for the use of Greyhound racing - ever! The only hope that we have would be intervention of a lucky Lottery winner (myself included) or an investor with the cash and the good will of Greyhound Racing at heart! Latest Bulletin and possibly the final post on this sorry demise of BV! FOBVS – Belle Vue 100 – Save our Stadium (SOS) BULLETiN on the current status of Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium Latest from our illustrious leader – despite his strenuous attempts at tempting a promoter to join our cause, this is proving almost impossible due mainly to the CV – 19 being a barrier to meaningful investment! Hi Alan, I think the date at which the ACV expires can probably now be released, the clock ticks down ever faster and there is only one Luke warm runner left who is also concentrating his efforts on other tracks too. I have noticed that many people are not grasping the situation and the facts of the ownership and rights to purchase Belle Vue. The freehold is owned by Crown Oil Executive Pension Fund Ltd. Countryside Properties UK Ltd registered a legal charge on the deeds prior to them applying for full detailed planning permission which gives them the sole right to purchase the freehold, no one else can unless they pay off their charge on the deeds, probably cost several million to do so. The freehold has not been placed on the open market, Manchester City Council Legal Department notified FOBVS that we, as holders of an ACV, have the right to bid for the freehold, we have until January 21st 2021 to submit a bid.
The realistic cost of buying Belle Vue would be at least 6 to 7.5 million, no crowd funding would ever attain such a figure and it requires all the fixtures and fittings replacing that were removed and an extra sum to bring the place up to scratch. There are no media rights contracts up for grabs, ARC took them with them and SIS didn't want to buy the track either nor did ARC. Betfred don't want to purchase it, other bookmakers like Starsports don't want it either, we have tried them all. Earlier this year, we were talking to overseas investors who wanted to bring Belle Vue to the forefront of the sport, investing millions and COVID saw an end to that as no one is now investing in sport and leisure.
We must also look at how many signed the petition on behalf of greyhounds, it was less than 2000 so anyone thinking that 5000+ would dip into their pockets to crowd fund are not being realistic, motorsport only can race 11 times a year, as per their planning permission, this has seen potential investors, and there were a few, walk away because they could never recoup their investment over 11 meetings a year. We have tried to convince property developers to buy the freehold, build on as much as they need to return their costs and leave us with a track to rent at a low rate, this has not come to fruition as they could not build and sell enough properties to enable this proposal. We are now left with one hope, this individual is hoping to buy a couple of tracks and have joint investors to build and develop spare land but I fear we are lower down on the list and I am sorry to say the clock is against us, we definitely require snookers.
All the best Alan. Best wishes
