Great idea cartwright45 only problem is every 1 wants to save the zoo but nobody wants to invest to save it. If there was enough serious investors putting in I would buy a share as well but everyone just wants to talk about it and not do anything

So true steve.putting nostalgia pictures up just feels like a kick in the teeth.Always seems to be reactive decisions instead of proactive over the years.

How long is left to any willing investor till the bulldozers go in. I have asked this question many times 'steveh'
But each time it's the same answer 'AT THIS TIME WE ARE KEEPING THAT INFORMATION IN HOUSE'
I no for a fact the Friends Of Belle Vue are still trying there best at this time.
In my opinion for what it's worth i think if things stay the same come mid January 2021 the old stadium will be knocked down.
Of course it will be a sad day when it happens..

We need 5k people to invest 1k each.five million pounds more than enough to buy the stadium and upgrade to the best stadium in britain.Put me down for 3 shares. put me down for 2 shares ,we have over 17000 people who have signed the petition to save the zoo but how many are willing to put their hand in their pocket to save it my guess is (NOT MANY) you only have to look at this forum and you can count on one hand the amount of people who have offered to put their own money in to save the place,,,, words or cheep its deeds that count iv not seen one X zoo trainer come on hear to say they or willing to put their own money into a pot to save the zoo so why would they expect any body else to like the 5000 people your asking for??

Knowing Mr Walmsley if there would have been any mileage on crowd funding in order to save the Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium he along with the stock car promotor would have set something up a long time ago.
People keep saying the ZOO is for sale for just over 3.7 mill?
Well if a buyer came along it's alright buying it off Crown Oils but then how much would the builders want in compensation?
I would expect who ever comes in for the ZOO would need some where in the region 7 million and then in order to get the stadium back up and running a further 1 mill to set up for greyhound racing again.
I think we all no now it's a dead duck if we are honest but like everything else in life you never no what's around the corner.

WELL, YOUR WRONG AGAIN. I have offered to put into the pot. many times. as long as it is overseen by solicitors to have no bent operators. then I will put a substantial amount in. much more than has been offered up to yet by anyone else. however, there are as usual no others who want plenty out but won't put in. having said all that.it has to be matched and verified by the correct people. not just airy-fairy bullshioters

why should the builders get anything, they only put proposals forward, and aren't liable for any recompense. its a chance they have taken, and if it doesn't work out hard luck.

Good point kingfisher.how many zoo bookmakers, who have had decent livelehoods attached to the zoo come forward, none. They seemed more concerned about getting on the last photo promo.
