the only chance we have now as i see it, is to create a greyhound track in such a place as haydock park race track, if they got 3 bags or sis meetings a week and had a regular saturday night, think it could be a money maker for the track. no track could attract enough foot fall for more than one meeting a week so are relient on a bookmaker contract...football has a hq ,rugby has a hq, cricket has a hq, what has greyhounds got fa, they the gbg could have a money making stadium with plenty of room for offices at minimum rent end of rant and you were right benny that regal chivas is good gear..

we either throw the towel in or hope there`s light at the end of the tunnel, roy, and hope it aint a train coming the other way, the rent 25k a month was a back breaker the way is bags on line and a few hundred punters once a week on site for a small track, but i believe a track such as haydock with it`s motorway link and access to liverpool and manchester could make money, and that`s what it`s all about..taking money..just as a after thought how do these horse tracks make it pay, acres of land and very few meetings pro rata, and yet you don`t see many if any close down..

TRY TO ATTEND YOUR NEAREST TRACK, HOWEVER, DISSAPOINTED YOU MAY BE AT THIS TIME You make it sound so so easy 'benny'
When a track shuts it's doors it effects it's long standing patrons in very different ways
None of us are getting any younger and to be honest i am very down / angry at this time.
But we all know we have to move on or curl up and die - Well the latter will not be taking place for sure.
Above you state attending the nearest track if only it was that simple now we have not got a single greyhound venue in the North West of England / Lancashire.
'DUNKIRK' I am getting old but I don't remember those Dunkirk days.
GOOD LUCK..
