Another top 3 finish for Rolo tonight in a top A1 race. Trap 5 is new to him so that didn't really do him any favours, He was slow away this time which is normally his way and down the back straight he was 2 or 3 lengths behind the pack, But he kicked into gear around the last 2 bends finishing 3rd running on like a train. I'm so pleased he's come off ok and Tuesday at Sheffield is his next stop over 660m which is a lot better for him. Is he running on Tuesday? I thought not

It doesn't look like Rolo is running on Tuesday. That's a real shame because I felt he would of ran very well over the 660m. I hope Belle Vue pick him for the 2nd leg at Nottingham and our home leg.

With the disappointment of Rolo missing out in the inter track we are going to Sheffield on Tuesday for an 660m maiden open. He hasn't had a trial which is against us but I do think he has a chance. He will need to start better but staying on very well.

Hopefully Rolo comes away tonight. If he does I think he will run a big race. But I know he's against some very good dogs so it won't be easy for him. A few good judges have said he will stay further, he was 2nd in Ireland over 770m. I will see if Brian fancies a marathon with him in the near future.

I thought Rolo ran ok tonight. I don't think he liked the track to much because he didn't really get into 3rd gear tonight. But he did stay on but he will improve for the look. He was placed so it isn't a bad result.

I will ask Brian to see what he says James. If he does the look around the track tonight would have done him the world of good.

As everyone can see Rolo is back to Sheffield on Sunday. I hope he runs the track better which I'm sure he will because he's had a look now so I hope he improves on Tuesdays performance. He's got a better draw as well, but it's another tough race for him.
