I have just completed a gardening study film of the work I do at the track .
It lasts for 15 minutes so hopefully you won ' t find it too boring !!! Its just a record of the work that is going on and I am just trying to give the track a good positive look about it .
I guess its really aimed at the folk who might give the stadium a bad review , or suggest it is a " Dump " , or the protesters group .
So I am looking for a response particularly from those groups .
Hopefully the regular members will enjoy the film , I would say it is quite good , entertaining , maybe 7 out of ten . Take a look!!
Cheers everyone !

TAKEN FROM 'TWITTER FEED:
British Greyhound Racing first took place here, Belle Vue, in 1926. The track, pictured in 1958, was sold for just £2.8 million in 2014 and is now under threat from property developers. Former owners, GRA, have closed 26 of the tracks they owned to date

Thanks to Jim and Norma Rowley they have loaned me a number 7 race jacket . It looks in great condition and is amazing to see . I have now slotted this into the gallery four area and is a great added feature . The Racing office have also loaned me four other jackets which will be on display opposite the Stripes Bar in a week or two , which is gallery three . This gallery still requires a bit more work to fill in a few more gaps on the walls and posts . But the No. 7 jacket is the best one and hopefully Jim and Norma will also find the Number 8 or am I just being a bit too greedy !!

This is a thread that needs embracing. IN the old days or shall we say a good few years ago. the wife and me were on the way to Blackburn. I had bought a huge American shooting brake.it comfortably held six dogs.we were on the motorway towards Bacup.and it packed in. who came along but john Walton snr.driving a black cab.he said to get in he was bound for Blackburn as well. well, we all squeezed in. got to Blackburn.and he got a winner. we came back to the yank on the edge of the motorway. and he managed to tow us to Middleton about six miles away. not a great story but it shows what john was about. a very canny trainer. and a good friend to have. He and Margaret where always welcome at our house. and often they fetched young john.he was about 2and just a summer top on.old john remarked on his wedding tackle showing.he couldnt get away with that now.lol.

Only 1 winner from 6 the other 5 must of been stopped then. 🤣. I’ve heard loads of great stories about the flapping days I’ve only ever really experienced askern and abit of westhoughton. Such a shame the way the game has declined over the years. u meet some real characters at dog racing and friends for life. Never met Jon snr but I think Jon Walton is a great bloke 👍🏻
