Many thanks to Mr Simon Walmsley / FOVBS Team who have been working very hard behind the scenes down at the ZOO over the last year.
Hopefully now things will settle down a wee bit and we can all start to look forward to the future.

MONDAY 17/12/18... 20:00...
** PLEASE NOTE ** I have been in formed and just to keep you all up to speed! As of tomorrow Tuesday 18/12/18 there is likely to have been a Planning Application lodged with MCC!
NOW THEN Before anyone starts panicking - nothing has changed here!
This just means that what we all thought would happen, is happening now.
Nothing can be done on our side until any application is accepted as valid with the resultant planning app number being posted by MC Planning Office.
We can now only wait and see and just be ready to fight our corner.
IN THE WORDS OF OUR GREAT LEADER CLIVE - IT'S BUSINESS AS USUAL...

One thing that i think has changed is that an organisation that claims to represent Crown Oils Pension Fund is quoted in the MEN as saying they have agreed terms with the potential developer. This was one of the hurdles the developer needed to clear and now seems to be in place. I would hazard a guess this is what has been going on during the recent period of apparent inactivity by them. If a price has been put on the place, under the terms asset status, does this have to be disclosed?

IT'S TIME TO ACT TO SAVE GREYHOUND RACING AT BELLE VUE. Right now is the time to act in order to try and save Greyhound Racing at the Belle Vue Greyhound Stadium..
In the last few days the truth has finally come out no more rumours it's a fact a 'FACT' the owners of the stadium Crown Oils have decided to pull the plug and sell our greyhound track to property developers.
So I'm asking you all now to please contact the Mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham and tell him how you feel.
The more people that contact the mayor the better.. ACT NOW BEFORE IT'S TO LATE.
Regards James Rowley BVADMIN.

Just the job Jimmy - Thanks. Keep up the good work!
IMO that letters would have much more impact than emails (although both are welcomed), because they would have to be opened and recorded as protests/objections, whereas emails can just be deleted or very easily overlooked and not become part of official record.
Further - I would like to clarify that anyone and everyone can complain to him, no matter where they live, as closing this Stadium will not only, put literally, throw many people out of work, from a job that they have been doing for many many years, it will also deprive people from the whole of the North West the right to watch Greyhound Racing within their area, something that they have been used to by supporting the stadium events over many years.
Belle Vue is not only an institution, it is the sole Greyhound Racing Stadium for many a country mile, as well as being the home for Stock Car Racing, Cycle events, Motor Cycle training venue and other activities which very much go towards our inclusive co-operation with local residents and recently granted considered status as CAV.
We very much look forward to our regular visitor friends from Merseyside and surrounding area's, even more so when the Footy Derbys take place.
In anticipation of your support - with YOU, we can put a stop to this!
Enjoy your festivities over the xmas period, we are going to be very busy early in the new year!
Thanks again Jimmy.
Al
BV 100 - FOBVS will be hearing more in due course once we get complete clarification on details. Thanks!
