Today, a lovely sunny day for BAGS. Bev has a three timer.
Race 1 Grade A2 Time 28.19 Mr Betfair was on Jogan Di, 5/2 to 9/4, and after turning a handy third she paced into a winning lead at the third bend.
Race 3 Grade A3 Time 28.42 Mr Betfair was on Woodsgift Factor, 3s to 11/4, who turned in second place. The leader appeared to have his measure at the third but Factor stayed on to lead approaching the line.
Race 4 Grade A4 Time 28.88 Office money for Kappie, 7/2 to 3s, who finished fifth. She was crowded on the run up and at the first bend but kept on well and wasn't beaten far.
Race 5 Grade A2 Time 28.15 Golden Orchid, backed by the Offices from 7/4 to 5/4, moved middle from the black box ruining the chance of the white sheet in the process. Despite trapping marginally the best he lacked the early of some of these and was crowded back to the rear following a biff here and a biff there. He stayed on late to finish fourth.
Race 6 Grade A5 Time 28.47 Mr Betfair must have been wringing his hands following the performance of Parsons Beauty, 5/2 to 7/4, who finished a moderate fifth. She made a slow start and had her run to the bend denied before being forced to check at the bend. If its any consolation she probably wouldn't have beaten the winner had she performed as expected.
Race 7 Grade A3 Time 28.23 Betfair money for Barbican Robbie, 11/4 to 9/4 who led on the run up winning easily.
Race 9 Grade A6 Time 28.89 Turnmoss Smokey, backed by Office money from 3s to 7/4, finished last. At no point did he appear to suffer a run stopping biff but after a missed break he was held up at the first and then spoiled at the second and third bends.
Race 10 Grade A5 Time 28.92 Betfair money for Tyrur Falcon, 7s to 6s, who needed to trap well to win here something that he is capable of doing...but not today. It was Boherash Mia, also backed on Betfair from 7/4 to 6/4, who trapped a good length in front and led to halfway where she was joined by the stripes. The two dogs contested the lead until Mia led at the last bend for another win. Falcon moved off wide at the second and turned in fourth place. He came wide round the last and on the run in staying on well on the run in to finish a reasonably close fourth.

Tonight, a soft and loose surface. Three timers for Bev and June. The Great Thompsoni returns .
Race 1 Grade A9 Time 29.87 Bitter Tears, backed at 4/5 , turned in third place after a slow start. She made good progress to the third bend moving into second place in the process and looking the likely winner behind a short runner. However, she then ducked and dived, bobbed and weaved behind the leader and eventually got up to dead heat.
Race 2 Grade A7 Time 29.77 Kersal Leah, 2s to 5/4, endured a rough ride to the first bend which involved most of the field but managed to turn in second place. She led between bends three and four and ran on well to the line. Rhoden Flicker, backed at 3s, made a poor start and was bumped at the first and then forced to check at the third bend. She finished last.
Race 3 Grade A6 Time 29.32 Maybe George, backed at 6/4, started slowly and was well back in fourth after checking at the second bend. He stayed on late for third place.
Race 5 Grade A5 Time 29.58 A race in which it was possible to make a case for not backing any of these! However, there was support for the recently out of form Adamant Achilles, 3s to 5/2, who ran well for second place. He started poorly and after a biff at the second bend was back in fifth place until he ran on well to the line.
Race 6 Grade S4 Time 37.50 Pirbright Blue, 7/4 to 6/4, turned in third place behind the fast starting winner and appeared to be struggling to hold his place going to the fifth bend but then stayed on well for second place. One has to ask oneself whether 7/4 was value for a bitch who has yet to win a race. Highview Chain, 10s to 8s, stayed on for third place after trouble between bends five and six.
Race 7 Grade A2 Time 28.99 A bit of a lack lustre performance from Noirs Michelle, 5/2 to 2s, who finished a well beaten third. She was crowded at the bend and turned in fourth place.
Race 8 Grade A1 Time 28.79 Devious Rumble, 2s to 6/4, led near the first bend and when her closest pursuer surprisingly closed up at the third bend she skipped away for victory. Ballyhill Beckie, 7/2 to 5/2, finished fifth following a slow start and being forced wide from the first to the second bend.
Race 9 Grade A4 Time 29.41 Hits Our Busty, 3s to 11/4, showed a glimpse of pace here despite finishing fourth. Following a poor star the paced to the bend only to get the BIG E. Back in the rear at the second he improved a little only to take a crowd at the third. Beauvais Belle 11/4 to 7/4, finished fifth following a slow start and biffs at the first and third bends.
Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.66 Zulu Hondo, 3s to 5/2, made a poor start and was back in last place at the second. He improved to finish fourth behind a winner who put up an astonishing display.
Race 11 Grade A3 Time 28.75 Strawberry Hall, 3s to 11/4, was effectively beaten at the traps when he made a slow start and the winner pinged. Hall paced up to be handy at the turn where there was a crowd and he turned in second only to find the winner extending his lead from approaching the third bend to the winning line. Hall finished a distant second. Junes Deezy, backed at 3s, also started slowly and was not in a favourable position when checking badly between bends one and two. She finished last.
Race 12 Grade S2 Time 37.44 Active Doll, backed at 2s turned in second place following a slow start and was handy at the last bend when crowded. She stayed on to finish a very close third. Support for Efceerevolution at 3s. She was crowded at the first bend and moved off widish at the second before finishing fifth.

Tonight, the track had been watered before racing but the going was very slow for the early races . June has a three timer. Plenty of short price favourites again. Race 1 Grade A8 Time 29.50 Rock It Kathy, 5s to 4s, squeezed through into second place on the rails after everything bar the leader had made a poor start. She ran on to collar the leader, who had been clear, near the line. Thornfield Rita, 7/4 to 6/4, started poorly and ran very wide, but thankfully she didn't run behind the Tote board , before staying on to finish a close third. Race 2 Grade A7 Time 29.46 Baltylum Mac, backed at 6/4, turned in third place and after missing the crowd at the third bend was a handy second from the fourth to the line. The crowd involved the winner and Tuesdays Gift, 4s to 5/2, who trapped clear and led to the third where she was bumped before finishing fourth. Race 3 Grade A6 Time 28.87 The money for Georgias Hawk, 4s to 3s, meant that Thornfield Julio drifted out to 6/4 before being backed into 5/4. He trapped well and raced clear for a facile win. Hawk started slowly but appeared to be about to take a good position at the bend but checked wide and collided with the white sheet. He finished a well beaten fourth. Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.90 If the eyes of the supporters of Hug the Rails, 6s to 9/4, had been fixed on their selection during the race then they would have completely missed a terrific race for the first three places. Rails had every chance and finished fourth. Race 6 Grade A1 Time 28.94 Boris Joiner, 11/8 to 5/4, was marginally outboxed by the red sheet and the two dogs raced clear. Boris challenged from off the second bend and appeared to be marginally getting the better of his rival at the third when the two collided badly transforming the race in the process. Boris finished third. Race 7 Grade S3 Time 36.67 The down graded Grandads Rifle, 5/4 to 4/5, trapped well with the red sheet and led off the second bend running on for victory with some purpose. Holt Mill Tommy, 10s to 7s, held fourth place from the second bend to between bends five and six and finished last. Race 8 Grade A2 Time 28.50 In a race packed with early pace Big Gud, 2s to 6/4, started slowly and was crowded at the bend. He finished third. Race 9 Grade A3 Time 28.80 Karma Cause, evens to 4/5, trapped fast and led to off the fourth bend underlining his stamina limitations. He finished third. Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.59 The fate of Soft Spot, 7/2 to 5/4, was sealed when the orange sheet trapped in front and raced clear for an impressive win. The favourite turned in thrid but was bumped at the third bend and finished fourth.

Sunday BAGS. Thankfully back to good going . Bev has a three timer. No Office representation. All maket moves were Betfair inspired unless stated. Race 2 Grade A6 Time 28.75 Support for the reserve Hasty Nymph, 7/2 to 3s, who led the bend which was enough to see off this field. Race 5 Grade A7 Time 28.83 Droopys Valdez, 2s to 6/4, was in front from the traps and won nicely. Race 6 Grade A4 Time 28.59 Daves Di-silva, backed in the market from 11/4 to 5/2, raced up inside the quick starting red sheet at the first bend and seemed to put everything into shoulder charging the poor bitch out of the way and was allowed to get away with it . The red sheet was nowhere near the rabbit....it was a clear foul! Anyway, having secured the lead Daves held on to it but was all out to do so.

Today, BAGS. June has a three timer. One punter allegedly commits suicide following the constant playing of the old 'Grandstand' theme for several minutes before each race. Precious suspects that this act of Eco-vandalism by the Racing staff affected the results.
Race 1 Grade A3 Time 28.76 Barntick Joker, 9/2 to 3s, finished a fairly close fourth following a poor start and no sort of run round all four bends.
Race 2 Grade A5 Time 28.97O Office money for Tyrur Stevie Gee, 2s to 7/4, who was impressive last time when trapping well. Here he made a slow start, showed nice early but then failed to lead when running wide off the second bend. He's no stayer and after turning third finished fourth.
Race 5 Grade A1 Time 28.11 Watch Dave, backed by Mr Betfair from 9/4 to 2s, turned left at traps and caused plenty of bumping on the inside which affected Boris Johner, 3s to 9/4. Dave turned in third place behind the two wider runners who escaped and finished a well beaten second. Boris checked wide at the bend and was crowded before finishing fourth.
Race 6 Grade A4 Time 28.71 Stack Rock usually traps well in the white sheet and was supported by the Offices here from 9/4 to 7/4. Worn down on parade by the irritating music he started slowly and traipsed round at the rear...probably an act of protest not appreciated by his supporters .
Race 7 Grade A2 Time 28.16 Derrylough Socks, supported by Mr Betfair from 3s to 5/2, made a slow start, crowded the black sheet after leaving traps and turned fourth. He made no progress and after a crowd at the third finished last.
Race 9 Grade A8 Time 29.29 The Offices backed Bitter Tears, 3s to 9/4, who finished second. She contested the lead from the second bend and appeared to quicken when the eventual winner lobbed up at the third bend only to be collared on the run in before coming back to the winner near the line. Game or dodgy? Precious can only put the question .
Race 10 Grade A9 Time 29.08 A 16/1 winner on merit here! Villiers Baby was backed by the Offices and Mr Betfair from 5/2 to 7/4. After a slow start she was crowded at the second and turned in fourth place before finishing in that position.
Race 11 Grade A6 Time 28.64 Lubagh Eel, 2s to 2s, was comfortably beaten into second place by the improving winner. Eel moved to the middle at the bend and turned in second place comfortably holding off the opposition.
Race 12 Grade A3 Time 28.43 In a very trappy race there was support for Strawberry Hall, 7/2 to 3s, who ruined his chance by making a poor start. After crowding the dog in the red sheet at the bend he finished fifth.

Tonight, soft going again. Bev has a four timer. Race 2 Grade A8 Time 29.12 Teetonka Sioux, 6/4 to 5/4, finished third after only turning in fourth place well behind the easy winner. She can't do A4 times. Race 3 Grade A6 Time 29.13 Goosey Lucy, 3s to 7/4, trapped well and turned in second place. She looked odds on at the fourth after closing on the leader who remarkably held on for victory . Droopys Valdez, 3s to 2s, started slowly. After turning in fourth place he made a little progress to the third bend and finished third. Race 4 Grade S4 Time 37.41 Highview Chain, 12s to 8s, appeared to be about to justify her support when leading approaching the sough after turning third. However, Pirbright Blue, 6/4 to 11/8, who had turned in fourth place following a slow start, challenged her at the fifth and took a winning lead between the last two bends. Chain kept on well for second place. Grandads Mustard's recent poor form over 590 metres continued. Backed from 5/2 to 2s, she made a poor start and, after a first bend crowd, finished a well beaten fourth. Race 5 Grade A9 Time 29.96 Emerson Paddy, 6/4 to 11/10 finished third following a slow start. Race 6 Grade A3 Time 28.75 Aero Apollo, backed at 5/2, trapped second to the short price fav and closed right up to said dog at the third bend. After losing about one to two lengths following a check, Apollo then ran on well to lead near the line. Race 7 Grade S2 Time 36.50 Somegametowin, 7/2 to 3s, took a bad crowd at the first and turned in fourth place. He finished fifth. Jay Jay Wonga drifted to 11/4 following support at 5/2 and finished lame following a slow start and a bump at the first bend. Race 8 Grade A5 Time 29.06 Clonteen Cookie, 2s to 5/4, was no match for the winner. He finished fourth after losing a length through crowding at both the second and third bends. Race 9 Grade A4 Time 29.10 Much was expected from Starmount Lyric, 5/4 to evens, and following a slow start she paced up well to turn second appearing to have a big chance. However, as she challenged approaching the third bend so did the slow starting Swift Tobago, backed at 7/2, who swept into the lead in a move which proved decisive. Lyric had no answer and finished third. Not all the dogs handled the going this evening. Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.97 Hits Our Dusty, 11/4 to 5/2, trapped well and raced up handy to the early leader and when said dog moved off wide at the last bend Busty seized the lead and extended it to the line. Costompye, 5/2 to 5/4, made a poor start and finished fifth following crowds at the first and third bends. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.53 Bourne Legacy must be an exciting pup to own and train but surely many times Paulo takes him to the track he is living on his nerves. This dog wants the rails and is ideally suited by the red sheet so obviously Capitano Roberto will only give the dog that jacket in trials . He wore the white sheet tonight and was surprisingly backed from 5/2 to 6/4. After a slow start he paced up well but hit the rail at the bend losing ground and dropping back to fourth. He showed a bit to the third bend where he again wanted the rails and this time he ended up on the floor following a crowd. Race 12 Grade A1 Time 28.43 An impressive run from Borna Consent, 11/10 to 4/6, who, following a slow start and a slight crowd at traps, paced up well into second place behind the red sheet who is hard to beat when leading. Borna made it look easy though running round the leader between the last two bends and powering clear.

Sunday BAGS. Very cold. Soft going. No Office representation so all market moves were Betfair inspired unless stated. Race 2 Grade A8 Time 29.45 A cash bet on Chatoms Gift, 5s to 7/2, almost paid off after the bitch trapped well and led to the run in where a re-invigorated winner went past relegating her to second place. She's in a grade where a win will come shortly. Tyrur Mario, 5/2 to 2s found himself in last place at the second thanks to a poor start. He finished fourth. Race 3 Grade A2 Time 29.13 Messi Legend, 3s to 11/4, trapped best but found the early of the stripes to much and could only turn in second place. He stalked the leader to the third bend and just has he made his move he found better stayers on his heels and could only finish third. Race 4 Grade A2 Time 29.10 Home Sizzler looked slightly better class than these and was backed from 11/4 to 2s. She won but was hardly impressive. After missing the break she led between bends one and two but found a couple of rivals breathing down her neck and she appeared vulnerable. She just about managed to lead at the third bend taking a length lead and when the persistent red sheet moved out to launch an attack( a friendly one Sizzler zig zagged a bit and put her rival off. This is allowed in dog racing. Race 5 Grade A7 Time 29.54 Tuesdays Gift, 7/2 to 3s, turned second behind the quick starting blue sheet before challenging from halfway. She appeared to be held going into the third bend where she was crowded and finished fourth. Race 6 Grade A7 Time 29.09 Baltylum Mac, 3s to 5/2, got a surpise at the first bend along with all the form gurus in Greater Manchester and beyond when the orange sheet raced alongside him, used his draw advantage to lead and then raced clear leaving Mac to finish a well beaten second. Race 7 Grade A5 Time 29.14 Farran Blanc, 4s to 7/2, missed the break, turned in fourth and finished last appearing to have had every chance. Race 8 Grade A5 Time 29.37 Whistle Mouse was sneakily backed late by a cash punter from 9/2 to 4s. She was comprehensively outboxed by the winner and raced into second place. She closed at the third where she was crowded before running on gamely to just fail to get up though there were a few who thought she had done. An unlucky loser then. Redstone Brenos, 5/2 to 9/4 made a poor start and got the BIG E at the bend where the blue sheet moved out. Back in fifth at the second with too much to do Brenos ran on for third. Race 9 Grade A3 Time 28.78 All Montague's wins to date have come in the red sheet but despite wearing the blue sheet he was backed from 3s to 5/2, so how did he do? Extremely well, trapping well and showing good early pace to race clear for a comfortable win. Race 10 Grade S3 Time 29.01 Daves Di-Silva, 3s to 9/4, donned the red sheet for the first time here and trapped best, taking a middle course over the first few strides and using his draw to barge aside the stripes at the first bend. He led until surprisingly just collared on the line. Race 11 Grade A4 Time 29.41 A Betfair Betathion here with support for Boherash Mia, 3s to 5/2, Bourne a Legend, 3s to 11/4, and Dacent Hurricane, 4s to 11/4. We saw an incident pack contest in which the running of the blue sheet had a huge effect. Legend trapped best and looked likely to lead the bend as a consequence but the blue sheet produced an impressive turn of speed to get inside Bourne at the bend and crowd said dog a couple fo times. This allowed Mia, who had been tapped for early and was only fourth going into the bend, a solo which she took full advantage of leading at the second bend. The blue sheet again showed a nice burst of pace to the third bend and just failed to get inside Mia who benefitted again when her rival checked slightly crowding Bourne again. Mia had a comfortable margin of victory with Legend finishing third. Hurricane finished second. He started slowly and ran so wide at the second bend for a moment Precious thought he might hit the wall but, after correcting himsel,f he galloped on well to finish second.
