FRIDAY 1-2-13Tonight, soft going though dry for a change
. Nige has a three timer.
Race 1 Grade A9 Time 29.61
Allrounder, backed at 7/4, led the bend and won comfortably. The downgraded Rushmoor Sandy, backed at 9/4, started slowly and finished third after turning in that position.
Race 2 Grade A5 Time 29.03
The market suggested a two dog race and for much of the race it looked just that with Starmount Linea, 5/2 to 9/4, leading the bend after holding the inside berth with Maybe George, 2s to 6/4, coming out of the second bend a handy second following a missed break. George pestered Linea all the way to the third bend and attempted a move up the inside between bends three and four which ended with the two dogs coming together and ruining each other's chance. Linea finished third and George fourth.
Race 4 Grade A8 Time 29.23
Talk Now, backed at 5/4, contested the lead from the second to the fourth bend before finishing a well beaten second and extending her losing run to fourteen races. 5/4??
Dacent Andrea, 5s to 3s, had turned in third place before losing a place at the halfway point. She successfully attempted the 'Bev manouvre', which has a degree of difficulty of 2.3, diving inside the two leaders to lead at the last bend.
Race 5 Grade S4 Time 37.26
Dacent Amy, 5/4 to evens, had no excuses here. She held second place to the sough and finished third.
Race 6 Grade A7 Time 29.60
His and Mine, backed late from 3s to 5/2, came from an unpromising position at traps following a slow start to finish a close second. This was largely thanks to the winner who, rather than being named Lamborghini, should have been called Stock Car. He's a right bruiser at the bend and sorted the field out big style whch allowed His and Mine to slip into second place at the second bend.
Race 7 Grade A6 Time 29.12
With form which shows three runs to date and three no shows Reggae Taepot opened at 11/8 which amazed Precious. What amazed Precious even more was that he was backed at that price!
After falling out of traps and being forced to check badly at the third bend when in last place he managed to finish fifth thanks to a dog being brought down at the third bend.
Race 8 Grade S2 Time 36.55
Lucky Trial, 7/2 to 3s, trapped fast and led to the third bend before finishing fifth.
Race 9 Grade A4 Time 28.71
Dilton Black, backed late from 5/2 to 2s, trapped well and led the bend on his way to victory. He had the runner up bustling him up from the second bend to the third before striding away for an overdue win. With his past fitness problems he's a hard dog to assess.
Race 10 Grade A1 Time 28.42
The cynices might suggest that the Oxford English Dictionary should now consider revising its definition of 'form' following Monagea Lodge's win here
. Last time the bitch was a good four lengths clear at halfway and finished second
. Tonight, after giving away a start to the three inside runners she was a good four lengths BEHIND in third place at the second bend. However, backed from 6/4 to 5/4, she ran on with such gusto that she led at the last bend from the quick starting, in form Followthe Master, 7/2 to 3s, who led virtually from traps. The going was much quicker tonight than the bog she ran in last time and this may well have helped the bitch win a race she had every right to win and perhaps underlines the point that 'form' on heavy going cannot always be relied on. Followthe Master finished a one paced fifth.
Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.45
The fast starting black sheet provided Tewmax Leejay with problems between bends one and two which saw this in form dog turning in only third place with too much of a deficit to recover. He finished third.
Race 12 Grade A2 Time 28.76
Morning All, 3s to 5/4, wanted to win this race more than his opponents and, following a slow start which saw him last dog at the second bend, he ran on strongly to get up on the line after having the time to move across the track to the leader and say 'Hi'. He was marked clumsy. Precious thought he was being courteous!

SATURDAY 2-2-13Tonight, cold and normal going. Jill has a three timer.
Race 1 Grade A9 Time 29.13
Support for the onepaced Finnure Fern, 6s to 4s, who was slow up before being relegated to last dog at the second bend. He improved to fifth close to the line.
Race 2 Grade A7 Time 28.64
Sing Along Boss, 5/2 to 2s , trapped fast and led until moving wide at the second bend where the early paced Tyrur Stosur, 3s to 11/4, took up the running. She led until the fourth bend and finished second with Boss finishing fourth after being forced to check at the third when in second place.
Race 3 Grade A6 Time 28.79
Grandads Ha Ha, 4s to 5/2, turned in fourth place and made no progress before easing at the third bend. He faded to finish last.
Race 4 Grade S3 Time 36.57
Grandads Radar, 3s to 6/4, did plenty of running to lead at the sough and go on to win after being crowded wide between bends one and two. He turned in third place with a lot on his plate.
Race 5 Grade A6 Time 28.70
Zulu Hondo, 11/4 to 9/4, never showed when finishing fourth. After a slow start, crowding at the first and third bends occurred. Baltylum Jill, backed at 9/4 also made a slow start and never got in a blow indeed she was in receipt of blows at the second and third bends and finished last.
Race 8 Grade A5 Time 28.75
Ballymac West, backed at 7/4, did what was required and led the bend. He never looked in danger afterwards.
Race 9 Grade A4 Time 28.41
Barbican Robbie won this with plenty of ease after trapping well and leading on the run up. The betting was a bit of a dog's breakfast with three Books opening up at 5/4 which immediately disappeared when Keith Swain showed his hand and chalked up 4/5. The dog drifted out and was supported at 11/10 but very close to the off went to 5/4. Dacent Stealth, 10s to 8s, trapped with the winner but sadly appeared to quickly go lame.
Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.36
Gortmelia Mam, 7/4 to 6/4, made a poor start but was a handy second at the second bend behind the quick starting winner who's a stayer
. Once the leader stayed on well from the third bend Mam had no answer and settled for second place.
Race 11 Grade A3 Time 28.42
Support for Rushmoor Danny, 5/2 to 5/4, looked justified when he trapped well and took a prominent position on the run up but his backers must have been surprised with the ease with which the winner raced past him to lead near the bend. Danny came out of the second bend in third place before being forced to check badly betwen bends three and four. He finished a well beaten second.
