Internet problems Last night, a warm evening, the door and windows were open and the heating was on! The Great Thompsoni has a five timer. Race 1 Grade A8 Time 28.92 Redley Rooster, 5s to 2s, didn't show much here after a slow start. He didn't lose much following a crowd at the first and he was back in fifth place at the second a placing he held on grimly to at the line. Race 2 Grade A7 Time 28.46 In a race won in a fast time by a dog whose been running poorly of late Gentle Roisin, backed at 5/2, was a long way behind in fifth place at the second bend following a poor start. She stayed on quite well to finish third and relegate Thornfield Rita, 3s to 9/4, to fourth place. Rita who also made a poor start had managed to turn in third place but her very wide running took its toll. Race 3 Grade S3 Time 35.88 Grandads Rifle, 9/4 to 6/3, turned a handy third and led on the rails at the third bend before galloping clear. Zulu Hondo, 7/2 to 3s,started slowly and turned in fourth after the two dogs on her outer collided at the second bend. He showed pace to the fifth and just got up on the line to finish second. Race 4 Grade A6 Time 28.84 Tyur Rambler, 7/2 to 5/2, seemed top go to the bend quite well here and turned in third place. He ran on well from the third to lead approaching the line. Race 5 Grade A4 Time 28.42 Jogon Bonnie, 4s to 3s, trapped well and led on the run up reproducing her best form for her latest win. Classy Sizzler, 9/4 to 2s, turned second after missing the break and the crowding at the bend. He was passed by the eventual runner up on the run in and finished third. Tyrur Berbatov, backed at 7/2, finished fourth after a missed break, a first bend crowd and a third bend ouch! when making progress. Race 7 Grade A5 Time 28.41 Stack Rock, 5/2 to 9/4, trapped well and led to the first bend. He held second place to halfway and finished third. Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.28 A contrast in the performances of the market movers. Ballyhill Ruby, 7/2 to 3s, trapped fast and was soon clear for an impressive debut win. Maybe George, backed at 2s, made a slow start and showed little to the first bend where he ran into the back of trouble. He made no progress and finished a well beaten fifth. Race 10 Grade S2 Time 35.76 Pennys Option, 3s to 2s, finally managed a win and did so impressively. He turned a handy second before leading at the fourth bend and then showed an impressive burst of pace to the fifth bend which took him clear. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.16 The shock of the night with the well graded Judys Bloom, backed at 4/5, finishing third. She started slowly before turning second to an in form bitch who she was expected to beat comfortably. Approaching the third bend she was clearly running without much sparkle and the eventual winner raced past to relegate her to her finishing place of third. Race 12 Grade A3 Time 28.51 When a dog has been marked awkward one tends to factor that into one's view of how the dog performs subsequently when it gets in a battle for the lead. Here Cheveton, 5/2 to 4/5 had turned a handy second to the white sheet. When he put in a challenge near the third he couldn't get past and was crowded when the third bend arrived. He finished fourth and the Stewards were happy with the perfromance.

Yesterday's BAGS. Bev has a four timer before going home to make the dinner. Race 2 Grade A4 Time 28.84 In a race where all his rivals made poor start and he didn't, Taylors Sea, 7/2 to 11/4, made all although he did have to hold off a challenge from a couple of rivals at the third bend where the stronger of the two was crowded. Race 3 Grade A6 Time 28.88 The early pace of the winner was too much for Richly Deserved, 2s to 6/4, who could only turn in third place. Given that he was beaten less than a length, didn't lead and appeared to lose a little ground when moving off the rails at the second this was a respectable effort. Slaneyside Trudy, 4s to 7/2, kept on well to finish a close fourth following a slow start and turning in fifth place. Race 6 Grade A4 Time 28.56 End of the Line, 5/2 to 2s, finished second to a bitch who showed much better form than of late. Line had turned in third place after missing the break. Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.36 Redley Reason, 7/2 to 3s, trapped best and made all holding on by the minimum distance. The highly regarded Chase the Bond, 7/4 to 5/4, made his usual poor start and as a result found it harder in this better class race to secure a run at the bend. He was crowded at the second before turning in fourth place. He then failed to show the impressive back straight pace he has been showing thanks to failing to get a clear run down to the third and appeared to be crowded at around the halfway point. He finished a decent fourth. Race 9 Grade A9 Time 29.27 Tyrur Kara, well backed from 5/4 to 4/5, trapped clear and made all. Race 10 Grade A2 Time 28.00 Jamestown Duke, 7/2 to 5/2, made a poor start before showing nice early to turn in third place. He kept on well to finish third behind the very quick starting winner and a runner up who had run her best race for some time. Race 11 Grade A3 Time 28.45 Late Whiskey, 5/2 to 2s, showed the best early after not getting the best of starts and this was enough for the strong running favourite to lead the bend and add another win to his cv.

Today, BAGS. Bev and the Great Thompsoni have three timers. A worrying number of dogs went lame many when they had no other dogs with them. Race 1 Grade A3 Time 28.17 Support for Droopys Glenda at 6/4 who saw her kennelmate trap clear for a make all in a fast time with Glenda finishing second after turning second dog. Race 2 Grade A2 Time 27.90 Derrylough Socks, supported by the Offices from 2s to 6/4, left the traps so fast it appeared as though he had been launched from a cannon . He won easily. In a trouble marred race Golden Orchid, backed at 7/2, finished well beaten fourth following a poor start and plenty of trouble at the first bend. Race 4 Grade S2 Time 35.67 Dacent Galvin was backed at the track and then by the Offices from 9/4 to 5/4. He led at the second bend and won easily although it must be said that the in form stripes was handy at the third until fading very badly. The red sheeted second surely got trouble at the first bend. Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.39 Rambletocullane, 3s to 5/2, stumbled at traps and fought like a trooper between bends three and four. He was disqualified and now joins Jill's extensive Chain Gang squad. Stack Rock, 3s to 5/2, trapped best but was forced to check at the first bend before he was badly battered by his market rival. Race 8 Grade A6 Time 28.75 Fangin Feather, 3s to 5/2, found herself at the back of the field at the second bend following a missed break and had improved to finish third at the line largely thanks to mishaps suffered by several of her rivals. Noirs Loch, 4s to 3s, started slowly and was back in fifth at the second. He made no progress and finished fifth after suffering slight trouble at the fourth bend. Race 12 Grade A3 Time 28.45 Office money for Petite Duck, 7/4 to 6/4, who found two rivals too quick for her to the bend and after taking a m/w course found herself back in fourth place and an unlikely winner at the second bend. She finished fourth.

Tonight, June has a Five timer. The track was harrowed this morning and bowsered after Race 7.
Race 2 Grade S3 Time 36.22 Kappie, 5/2 to 9/4 soon led to the fifth after running wide at the second bend. She finished third. Efceerevolution, 7/2 to 3s, turned in third place and finished fourth.
Race 3 Grade A6 Time 28.85 Swords Tosh, 3s to 6/4, turned in fourth place following a slow start and ran on to finish second.
Race 5 Grade A8 Time 29.15 The winner came across Towerhill Joker, 9/4 to 6/4, approaching the first bend forcing Joker to check. He turned in third place and finished third.
Race 6 Grade S2 Time 36.16 The slow starting Tibetan Breeze, 11/10 ran on to win after coming between dogs on the run in. Lady Legacy, backed at 3s, finished second beaten 3/4L and she had found herself in last place after first and second bend trouble. She ran on well.
Race 7 Grade A3 Time 28.49 Karlow Pearl, 2s to evens, finished a gutsy second after being forced to check at the bend by the quick starting blue sheet. She was third dog at the second and ran on well.
Race 8 Grade A5 Time 28.54 Doubt No More, backed at 3s, trapped well and took the lead on the run up until the last bend where Rhoden Flicker, 6/4 to 5/4, who had turned in second place, challenged on the inside. Doubt kept on the better to secure the win.
Race 9 Grade S1 Time 35.36 This race looked a competitive affair but turned into a procession when Jack Relax, 4s to 7/2, trapped best and produced a stunning piece of early pace to race clear. Rei Doms Persie, 7/2 to 11/4, started slowly, turned in fifth place and improved to finish fourth. The long awaited debut of Leathems Marvel, 6s to 4s, produced a disappointing effort from the dog who started slowly, was soon in the rear and finished last. He probably needs to be up with the pace to show his best but continues to start slowly.
Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.41 Whipidewhip, 3s to 9/4, started slowly and took his time to the first bend as a result missing the mayhem, slipped into second place and then led near the third before racing well clear. Tracey, 9/2 to 7/2, started slowly and was badly crowded at the first bend when moving away from the inside. She finished fourth. Crunchie Sophia, 9/4 to 2s,was badly crowded at the first bend and finished fifth.
Race 11 Grade A4 Time 28.32 Georgias Hawk, 7/2 to 3s, trapped well and quickly took the lead winning with some ease. Noirs Blue, 3s to 2s, didn't have the early to be competitive here. She turned in fourth place and just qualified in third place for next week's final. Slipalong Chuck, backed at 5s finished last after a very poor start.
Race 12 Grade A2 Time 28.31 This appeared to be an excellent chance for Monagea Lodge to return to winning ways. Backed from 5/4 to evens, she finished last after being forced to check badly at the bend. She had no excuses after trapping as well as anything bar the winner but she simply failed to show the early that was expected indeed the black sheet gave her 1 1/2L start at traps and was alongside her at the bend when the trouble occurred.
Race 13 Grade A1 Time 28.47 The in form Express Trish, 5s to 4s, led the bend and enjoyed the beneifts this brings holding on for victory ahead of opponents who failed to get a clear. Rei Doms Cantona, 2s to evens, appeared to be dropped in class here but ran a disappointing race. He was crowded at the bend, turned in fourth place, improved to second between bends three and four when missing the trouble but was then relegated to third place at the line.
