Strange betting in last race precious market said 4 dogs were backed Whats strange about that. All 6 dogs should be backed shouldn't they if the grading is competitive? but Henry we know at Bellevue that's never the case

Tonight, Paulo and Ronnie Smith have three timers.
Race 1 Grade A8 Time 29.01 Highview Torrent, 11/10 to 4/5, didn't pick his feet up to the bend where he got the BIG E before finishing last.
Race 2 Grade A7 Rime 28.84 Thornfield Rita, 3s to 9/4, ran her usual sort of race, slow away, very wide and staying on. Tonight she finished second. Jogon Katie, 5/2 to 9/4, was back in last place at the second following a poor start and a first bend check. She finished a well beaten fourth.
Race 3 Grade A6 Time 29.01 Lisnakill Joanna, 5/2 to 2s, finished fifth following a first bend biff. She failed to make much progress afterwards.
Race 4 Grade A5 Time 28.64 Swift Hunter, backed at 5/2, was handy at the bend, turned in third place and led at the third bend running on well. Jogon Clyde, 5/2 to 9/4, led from the first until crowded at the third and finished fourth.
Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.94 Redley Ruby, 3s to 6/4, managed to turn in third place following a missed break and a first bend crowd but was left with a lot to do. She made progress between the last two bends before staying on well to finish a close third. Bat Again, 10s to 7s, finished a well beaten fifth following a first bend crowd.
Race 7 Grade A3 Time 28.24 Farloe Hawk, 6s to 4s, ran well to finish second to a fast winner. He made his usual poor start before making good progress to the third bend and then staying on well. Kelmar Holly, 2s to 6/4, held second place from the bend to between bends three and four. She was crowded at the fourth and finished third. Beauvais Belle, backed at 4s, started slowly and held third place from the second bend until crowded at the third. She finished fifth.
Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.35 Starmount Xpress, 2s to 7/4, barged Beckhams Bon Bon, 7/2 to 5/2, aside at the bend and took a lead which he impressively extended to the line. Bon Bon finished fifth. Noirs Memory, 4s to 7/2, made a poor start before enjoying a solo at the second bend which enabled her to hold second place to the third bend. She was crowded at the last bend and finished third.
Race 9 Grade S3 Time 36.24 The significant support was for Grandads Radar, 6s to 9/2, to led at the second when the fast starting blue sheet ran very wide at that bend. He held on comfortably.
Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.59 Redstone Lugh, 7/2 to 3s, made a slow start, was crowded at the bend and turned in fourth place. The winner was one place in front of Lugh at the second bend and simply ran away from him leaving Lugh to finish a well beaten third.
Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.30 Watch Dave, 7/4 to 6/4, started slowly and, after moving middle at the bend and getting involved in crowding managed to turn in second place. He ran on very well from the last bend and finished a creditable second. Moyar Rambler, 4s to 7/2, failed to make one of his best starts and was badly bumped at the bend by Dave. He turned third and finished a creditable third. Devious Rumble, 7/2 to 3s, made a poor start and after second bend crowding finished fifth.
Race 12 Grade A2 Time 28.32 Darwen Lad, 5/2 to 2s, took a while to pick up pace to the bend but once he did a lead was inevitable. He held that lead from between the first two bend to the fourth and finished second. Nite Runner, 9/4 to 2s, trapped best and turned third dog but made no progress to the third bend before finishing fourth.
Race 13 Grade A4 Time 28.45 A disappointing run from Tibetan Breeze and it wasn't because of the bad crowding she was involved in at the third bend before she finished fifth. At the second bend she appeared, for her, to be in a relatively good position but did no running to the third bend.
Market movers will return for Wednesday's BAGS.

Today, a dry day for BAGS. All market movers were Betfair inspired unless stated. Race 1 Grade A2 Time 27.96 Monagea Lodge, backed at 7/4, gave a start to the quick starting winner and was forced to check at the second bend when handy. She settled for second place. Darver Bo Bo, 4s to 3s, took a bump on the run up and another at the first where he ran out wide. He kept on well to improve from fifth at the second bend to finish third. Race 3 Grade A8 Time 28.62 When High Way, backed by Mr Betfair and then by the Offices from 11/4 to 6/4, trapped in close proximity to his rivals and then surged to the front on the run up the game looked up for his rivals. However, he took too long running from the first to the second bend and was back in second place coming into the back straight from which point he made no progress eventually finishing fourth. He doesn't look too sound. Sleek Parker, 3s to 2s, made a poor start before keeping on well to finish second. Race 4 Grade A6 Time 28.87 A combination of support from Mr Betfair and the Offices saw Hug the Rails cut from 9/4 to 5/4. She turned in third place and led off the fourth bend on her way to glory. Race 5 Grade A4 Time 28.47 Kersal Korbie, 2s to 6/4, started slowly before taking biffs at the first and third bends. She finished last. Race 6 Grade A3 Time 28.33 Following a poor start and modest early the Office supported Redley Ryley, 3s to 5/2, was never remotely near the leader and finished fifth. Race 7 Grade A3 Time 28.58 Office money for Ballyfinn Og, 11/4 to 9/4 who gave himself a huge disadvantage with a poor start. He ran middle at the bend, missed the bump at the second and turned third dog. He showed a nice turn of foot to close on the leader at the third bend but had to settle for second place. Race 8 Grade A7 Time 28.88 The winner's time was well within the compass of Grandads Ha Ha, 2s to 7/4, who finished fifth. He made a poor start but given the early he showed here he wouldn't have led these had he trapped. He turned in fourth place and finished fifth having had every chance. Race 10 Grade A3 Time 28.51 Daves Di-silva was backed with actual cash here! His price was cut from 9/2 to 3s and after going into the bend in contention was forced to check at the second bend from which point he lost his position before being crowded at the last bend. He finished last. Race 11 Grade A5 Time 28.77 Bowtime Henry, 6/4 to 11/8 led the bend on his way to victory comfortably holding the second dog That's A Fact. Said dog was supported by a cash punter from 9/2 to 7/2, and, after making a slow start, turned in fourth place and ran on for second. Race 12 Grade A5 Time 28.91 Bowtime Roz, 7/2 to 3s, missed the break, was bumped at the first and then forced wide at the second. She ran on to finish a creditable third. Race 13 Grade A2 Time 28.28 La Chicarito, backed at 5/2 came up against a tartar here. He turned in second place and finished second. Parsons Beauty, 3s to 5/2, sadly appeared to go lame at the first and finished a well beaten last.

Tonight, soft going.
Race 1 Grade A9 Time 29.99 Pennys Christine, 5/4 to 4/5, finished fifth following a paceless performance after she had trapped clear. Talulah May, 3s to 5/2, led the bend and was all out to hold on at the line.
Race 2 Grade A8 Time 29.67 Look Ahead, 11/4 to 5/2, was so comprehensively beaten when finishing last there must be a good chance of her having finished lame.
Race 3 Grade A6 Time 28.99 The veteran Swords Tosh, 3s to 6/4, trapped a length clear and led to the third bend before settling for second place.
Race 4 Grade A7 Time 29.02 Fangin Feather, 5/2 to 2s, made a slow start and was back towards the rear at the second bend. She stayed on a bit to take second place.
Race 6 Grade S2 Time 36.59 Made of Rain's winning performance here suggests that she is still on the upgrade. Backed at 4s, she turned handy before leading at around the 180 metre mark and winning comfortably. Pennys Option, 7/2 to 11/4, found a little bother but had few excuses when finishing third. Swift Ronaldo, backed at 6/4, missed the break but not the first bend ouch and was crowded again at the third bend. He finished last.
Race 7 Grade A4 Time 28.77 Sunnyhill Boy, 9/2 to 4s, showed an impressive turn of foot to lead near the bend and with trouble behind won easily. Said trouble involved Slaneyside Moira, backed at a very short 5/4, who finished a plucky second after turning in third place. Also involved was Winetavern Kevin, 4s to 7/2, who finished fourth.
Race 8 Grade S1 Time 36.20 A disappointing effort from Antartica, 2s to 11/10, who led from the first to between the last two bends. She finished third. Lady Legacy, backed at 8s, finished fifth following a poor start and a crowd at the third bend.
Race 9 Grade A3 Time 28.71 Ardera Brett, 5/2 to 7/4, led from the first bend to around the halfway point where he was challenged by the slow starting Rhoden Cavalier, 4s to 5/2, and the two contested the lead to the third bend where Brett took back the lead and stayed on well from his one paced rival who finished second.
Race 10 Grade A5 Time 29.29 Glin Lark, 6/4 to evens, turned in third place following a slow start, was handy at the third and led at the fourth. Two Badgers who had been beaten a total of 42L in his last four outings was supported from 6s to 4s. He was handy from the first bend and led from the third bend to the fourth before finishing in fourth place.
Race 11 Grade S1 Time 36.14 The draw played an important part in this final with the red sheeted Shebas Flight, backed at 7/4, turning second and leading at the third though she was all out to hold on at the line from the blue sheet who ran another outstanding race for nothing. Rathmore Star, 7/2 to 3s, failed to trap clear from an adverse draw and after a first bend crowd was never competitive. He was forced to check at the last bend and finished sixth.
Race 12 Grade A2 Time 28.76 Three cheers for the Grader who produced a race in which five of the six runners were market movers. The two principals once the race started were the fast starting El Groove, backed at 4s and Express Trish, 11/8 to evens, who raced up well to turn second. Trish's class got her to the front at the third bend and, helped by Groove's running wide at the fourth, Trish just about held on at the line when her rival came back for more. Petite Duck, 11/4 to 9/4, had turned in third place and finished a creditable third after not running the bend as well as she will hopefully do in future. Boherash Mia, 10s to 8s, turned in fourth place after missing the break and finished in that position whilst Woodsgift Royal, 10s to 8s, was outpaced early before staying on late for fifth place.

Tonight, soft going again. Bev has a six timer. Race 2 Grade A7 Time 28.98 The debutant, Fionas Fury, 7/4 to 6/4, came face to face with the harsh realities of racing against five opponents. She started slowly and was then crowded and never got in a blow though she did receive ones at the first and third bends. She finished sixth. Race 4 Grade A6 Time 28.81 Honeysuckle Girl, backed at 2s, finished a well beaten fifth. Showing little pace to the bend she did receive a nudge there but was never a factor throughout. Race 5 Grade A2 Time 28.44 The slow starting Jamestown Duke, 6s to 9/2, ran a fine race to the third bend following a slow start but couldn't respond when the winner kicked on and Duke finished second. Leathems Marvel, 6s to 5s, found himself back in the rear at the second bend following a slow start and a first bend bump. He stayed on to finish fourth. Race 6 Grade S4 Time 36.72 Sup Lolls, 3s to 11/4, trapped best but couldn't match the early and middle pace of the winner who clocked a very decent 470 metres time. Lolls turned second and comfortably held on to that position at the line clocking her best time to date in the process. Race 7 Grade A6 Time 28.90 Chesters Nikita, 3s to 5/2, finished a well beaten last giving the impression that she had not finished fully sound. Race 8 Grade A4 Time 28.54 The quick starting Stack Rock, 5s to 9/2, finished a well beaten second and had two excuses. Firstly the slight first bend crowd and secondly the Stewards which the winner earned . The Grader needs to take a look at himself for running said dog in this race after one moderate trial after a six week absence. Is there such a thing as a 'constructive Stewards'? Witton Polly, backed at 3s, made a poor start but early paced and moved middle at the bend securing a good run. She moved into second from the halfway point until fading back to fifth place on the run in. Race 9 Grade S3 Time 36.65 Its ironic that the author of the thread about the relatively poor stats for dogs wearing the red jacket should own the winner of this race wearing... you guessed it, the red sheet. McIlhatton, backed early at 2s but available at 9/4 at the off looked drawn for the dream run all owners dream about and he got it. However, he needed to show plenty of grit and determination after only turning in third place. He got to the front on the run in and held on for the win. Zulu Hondo, backed at 7/2, ran a decent race to finish third after losing his position at the third bend where Grandads Rifle, 7/2 to 3s, had tracked better to move into third place at the fourth bend. He stayed on well but Zulu stayed on the better relegating Rifle to fourth place. Race 10 Grade A5 Time 28.87 Tyrur Sharapova, 7/4 to 6/4, put right her unlucky defeat last time when winning comfortably after leading the bend. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.09 Watch Dave, 5/4 to 4/5, found trouble on the run up after moving lanes from the black box towards the middle. He turned third dog and after being held up at the third ran on for second place.

Today, BAGS. Soft going. Race 2 Grade A4 Time 29.19 Kanezami, 4s to 3s, arrived at the bend with most of the posse and put several out of contention including himself. He finished a well beaten third. Race 3 Grade A2 Time 28.57 The way the slow starting winner, who's a huge 40 Kilo beast, arrived at the bend reminded Precious of a huge bowling ball picking up speed before knocking aside the skittles on contact. Correct Number, 3s to 11/4, was skittle number three....ouch!. He finished fifth. Race 4 Grade A7 Time 29.24 Farran Blanc, 9/4 to 5/4, appeared to have the advantage of class here but failed to show it in running arriving at the bend in last place following a slow start. A crowd did not improve her chance and she finished a well beaten fourth. An incapability hearing at the kennels would do the bitch no harm at all! Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.96 Tyrur Kagawa, 3s to 5/2, was handy at the bend and held third place to halfway before re-gaining that placing on the run in. Broomhill Flash, 7/2 to 5/2, trapped better than of late but was still only fifth at the second bend. He made no progress and finished last. Race 6 Grade A2 Time 28.62 Shaneboy Echo, 3s to 5/2, did what he was very well backed to do last time and won. He turned in third place before showing a nice turn of foot to lead at the third bend. Race 7 Grade A6 Time 28.94 Tyrur Mario, 11/4 to 5/2, led on the run up to the third bend and finished second. Race 8 Grade A8 Time 29.79 The market moves suggested this was between Auntie Nan, 11/4 to 5/2, and Highview Torrent, 5/2 to 9/4. The latter got the better start and arrived at the first bend with Nan close up. Torrent took a slight crowd and led to the second where he was hampered by Nan who took a lead she held to the run in where she was crowded by the winner. Torrent finished a close third. The time reflected the trouble in the race. Race 9 Grade A4 Time 28.83 Late Whisky, 5/2 to 9/4 put in strong running performance here following a slow start to turn second and lead at the last bend. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.31 Leggy Tiger, 7/2 to 3s, kept on well for second place following a slow start. He turned in fourth place. Cruising Belle was crowded at the bend when handy following a slow start and turned in third bend. She was forced to check at the third bend and finished fifth. Race 12 Grade A5 Time 29.20 If Baby Blue Hawk is ever a contestant in the K9 equivalent of Mastermind his specialist subject will most definitely NOT be track craft . Backed at 3s early doors but drifting to 7/2 he arrived at the bend in a decent position following a missed break. He then drifted off between bends one and two finding trouble and himself back in fifth place off the second bend. He showed good pace to the third to secure second place and ran on to catch the leader approaching the line. Tudor Smile, 6s to 5s, didn't show much early but largely thanks to securing a dream run round the first two bends squirted out into the back straight in second place. She was back to third at the third bend and finished fourth having had every chance.

Its ironic that the author of the thread about the relatively poor stats for dogs wearing the red jacket should own the winner of this race wearing... you guessed it, the red sheet.Ah! but - there was a golden highway up the rails on Saturday night, as also evidenced by Tyrur Duggan, Swift Tobago and Russanda Phil, all tight railers who bolted down the back straight. Statistically based posts should carry the warning that you see at the bottom of graphs in advertisements for managed funds - past performance is no guarantee of future results. Come to think of it, that should be printed in the card below every race at Belle Vue.

Today, BAGS. Soft going. June has a four timer. Race 1 Grade A7 Time 29.60 Tyrur McDonagh, 7/2 to 11/4, soon led and was clear by the third bend. Race 2 Grade A7 Time 29.60 Redstone Bo Dhu, 5/2 to 2s, made the bend in front and stayed on to the line for another win. Race 3 Grade A6 Time 29.29 Shale Cheryl, 7/2 to 3s, trapped clear and made all though the result looked uncertain from the second bend when the Office supported Grandads Mustard, 5/2 to 9/4 turned in second place. This bitch does run on so it was something of a surprise so see Charyl extend her lead to the line. The time says it all. Race 4 Grade A5 Time 29.15 The finish of this race resembled that of a 6 1/2 mile Novice Chase in heavy going with the field well strung out after there were two fallers. The quick starting Bowtime Roz, 4s to 3s, made all. Thats a Fact, 5/2 to 2s, had turned in third place following a missed break and was making promising progress at the third bend when he was brought down by the falling red sheet. Race 5 Grade A4 Time 29.24 Tyrur Craig, 5/2 to 2s, soon led following a smart start but was collared on the run in and finished second. Race 6 Grade A3 Time 29.09 The very well backed Petite Duck, 7/4 to 11/10, finished a moderate fifth after failing to show anything like her best early. A bump at the bend was no excuse. Race 8 Grade A4 Time 28.92 Taylors Sea, 5s to 9/2, turned in fourth place following a missed break. He was bumped at the third and finished a well beaten second. Race 9 Grade A2 Time 28.66 Plenty of cash support for Monagea Lodge, 9/4 to 6/4 and then the Offices joined in reducing the price to 5/4. She failed to show her A1 early here being led up by the blue sheeted stayer . She turned in second place and finished in that position. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.71 Janes Oasis 2s to 6/4, led from the first bend to the third bend and finished second. Race 13 Grade A4 Time 29.13 Georgias Hawk, 3s to 5/2, made a poor start but managed to turn in third place. He took up second place from halfway but was surprisingly relegated to third place near the line by his kennel rival who came from quite a way from off the pace.
