LAST RESORT........ONLY ONE THING FOR IT 'JC'
TELL YOUR TRAINER TO SCHOOL YOUR GREYHOUND OVER THE JUMPS..
SIMPLE REASON: NO HURDLE RACES TAKE PLACE ON THE BAGS FIXTURES AT THE ZOO....
ALSO NO GREYHOUND HAS EVER WON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MONTH AWARD ON A BAGS PERFORMANCE SO THE JUMPS COULD BE THE ANSWER YOU HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR NOW FOR MONTHS...

WELL we are nearly in at the half-way mark for the year and nothing much has changed if anything down at the ZOO.
Shortly we are to see the minor opens coming back on to our race cards but by all accounts the prize-money levels are set to be the same as previous years. If this is the case then these races will not attract the best trainers from around the country.
I've heard that at the end of this years Belle Vue Stadium will be seeking another BAGS slot and if one does become available I do hope we get it and of course we need it to be an evening slot in order to give owners and patrons another night out which would be a lot better than being stuck with only Friday and Saturday's to attend during the year.
Plus by the end of this term we will see the Belle Vue Aces take there leave as they are set to move in to there new stadium just down the road in 2014.

Has there been any comments about the financial impact on the stadium of the movement of the Aces? Is this what's motivating the desire for another BAGs meeting?

Has there been any comments about the financial impact on the stadium of the movement of the Aces? Is this what's motivating the desire for another BAGs meeting? You could be right 'marto' about the concerns of the GRA/Belle Vue Local Management in losing revenue from the speedway boys.
But all I want to see is another evening meeting down at the ZOO be it BAGS or otherwise in the near future.

I do not know about the finances ,but the gra appear to have wanted the speedway team to go for as long as I can remember.

What sort of money does speedway generate, cannot be cheep to get a new track up and running and they only use the track once a fortnight..Maybe the gra could get some advice from the Aces...

I'll confess I've never been to a speedway meeting, but I'd have thought it made a better track sharing partner than the banger racing, which I'm told is staying put? I'm coming from the perspective of the general impact on the condition of the stadium (particularly the inside of the track) and standing of the sport.
