I think he could probably do around 35.60 to 35.70 with a clear run. It would depend how he took to the 590 traps and how suited he was to running the bend as soon as he left the traps.

Another Sunday at the BAGS. Soft going.

Race 1 Grade A7 Time 29.60
Berkshire Gold, 7/2 to 5/2, trapped well and moved middle on the run up from Trap 1. She was handy at the bend where the winner took the lead and she raced in second place down the back. She was very handy at the third where she was forced to check a length and then kept on well for second place. She's only won once from nineteen starts.

Race 2 Grade A5 Time 29.58
Tyrur Reggie, 5s to 9/4, finished fourth. He's been off the track for a ling time and was A2 at his best. Here there didn't appear to be much early pace on offer and Reggie had a great chance of leading which he did following a quick start. However, approaching the third bend he was visibly coming under pressure and though managing to hold his lead to the run in there was a number of dogs queuing to get past. Three managed the task leaving Reggie to finish a one paced fourth.

race 3 Grade A3 Time 28.73
Clonteen Cookie, 2s to 6/4, made a slow start and tried to secure an advantage by sneaking inside the red sheet at the second bend with disastrous results for both parties. She finished fifth.

Race 6 Grade A4 Time 28.83
Drumcrow Stacey, 7/2 to 9/4, missed the break whilst the winner flashed from traps. Stacey paced up well to lead at the first thanks to the draw but the winner got the room on the outside he relishes and quickened back into the lead at the second bend. Stacey turned second and was still handy at the third when forced to check and she finished third. Kersal Mason, 4s to 7/2, started slowly and early paced into third off the second bend a placing he lost at halfway. He was then forced to check at the third and crowded at the fourth. He finished last.

Race 7 Grade A1 Time 28.54
Where's cartwright45 these days? Precious would love to know if he was on Hits Our Busty, 9/2 to 5/2, today and what his thoughts were on the result. Following a slow start, Busty paced up well to the bend and turned second dog behind the quick starting Klup. Busty moved into a handy position at the third and Precious thought he was sure to win but Klup stuck it out well and held off Busty's challenge.

Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.85
Karma Breeze, 3s to 9/4, moved wide and missed the trouble at the second before quickening into the lead at halfway and winning easily. Romeo Gene, 4s to 9/4, was held slightly at the bend and just as he appeared to be taking the lead between bends one and two was badly bumped. He finished fifth.

Race 9 Grade A8 Time 29.78
Thornton Tina, backed at 5/2, trapped well enough but suffered badly from first bend aggro and finished a well beaten fifth. Shes Phenomenal, 5s to 11/4, started slowly again and attempted to race up towards the rails on the run up where she found he path blocked. She was forced to check badly at the first and finished last.

Race 10 Grade A2 Time 28.63
An overdue win for Jamestown Duke, well backed from 11/4 to 5/4, and a game one too. He missed the break and turned a handy third before challenging at the third bend. Bowtime Jack was the dog inside him at the third and he took a slight lead but Duke ran gamely and got to the front very close to the line.

Race 11 Grade A4 Time 29.09
Jorjen Jak, 5/2 to 9/4, made a slow start and managed to turn second thanks to missing the first bend trouble. She kept on well but was relegated to third place close to the line.

Race 12 Grade A2 Time 28.63
Ardera Brett, 5sto 4s, trapped well and turned a handy second before staying on well. He was beaten a sh. Redstone Borvo, 5/2 to 2s, started slowly, turned third and stayed on well. He was crowded close to the line and finished third.

Nice to see you back posting, cartwright45.  I think its fair to say that the great majority of dogs at the track could be layed every time they run and you would show a profit. Sadly Klup appears to have now joined their number.

As Mikey Hobbs has mentioned it was a poor A1, indeed I had it down as an A2.  However, that should take nothing away from what was a game performance by Klup.

Klup will have to improve on this to win another a1 but its nearly 4 can it improve?

Today, BAGS. No Office representation.

Race 1 Grade A2 Time 27.99
Up Granard, 5s to 9/2, flashed from traps and hightailed it to the winning line for an easy win. Fionas Fantasy, 9/4 to 7/4, started slowly, enjoyed a solo round the first two bends and came out of the second bend in second place. She made no progress to the third but than stayed on well to hold her position to the line.

Race 2 Grade A3 Time 28.07
Lisheen Scolari, 5s to 4s, played the class card here and, following a slow start, enjoyed a solo at the bend to turn in second place. A classy bit of pace and tracking at the third took him to the front and he forged clear.

Race 3 Grade A2 Time 28.26
Once again Karma Effect, 2s to 11/8, found the early pace she was up against too much for her and after a missed break turned in fifth place with too much to do. She stayed on steadily to finish third after suffering minor trouble at the fourth and on the run in.

Race 4 Grade A3 Time 28.26
Darwen Lad is just not doing it at the moment but was backed at 5/2 to win on his debut in the stripes. He finished a never showed fourth following a poor start.

Race 5 Grade A4 Time 28.39
Kersal Mason, 6s to 5s, turned in second place and led briefly on the run in to the line. Forza Keldon, 7/4 to 5/4, is starting to prove expensive to follow. Here, he stumbled badly at traps before showing excellent pace to the bend where before checking wide at the second bend. He finished fifth.

Race 7 Grade A5 Time 28.52
Clonoulty Babe, 5/2 to 9/4, trapped fast and led to very near the line. Tyrur Craig, 5/2 to 9/4, missed the break and got a right whack at the bend from his kennelmate. He finished last.

Race 8 Grade A5 Time 28.30
Thankfully supporters of Stack Rock, 7/2 to 5/2, didn't try to carry Big Nige round the betting bar after the dog won.   They did seem pleased though!  He, the dog, trapped well and after enjoying a solo at the second bend turned in second place with a bit to do. He ran on and led on the run in.

Race 9 Grade A6 Time 28.74
Upton Falcon, 5/2 to 6/4, turned second following a slow start and led between bends three and four for a plucky win.

Race 10 Grade A7 Time 28.38
Valiant Boy, 5/2 to 7/4, finished third behind a dog who was locked up. He missed the break and turned in third place behind the winner who is a pup on the upgrade. Lamba Luna, 4s to 7/2, finished fifth and had every chance.

Race 11 Grade A1 Time 27.94
Quite why Rusheen Mikey was backed from 5/2 to 7/4 is beyond the limited understanding of Precious. He did a terrific run last time but was well in on class and time then. Here he suffered a two grade hike and was up against some early paced customers. A poor start didn't help his chances and he was still last at the second bend some lengths behind the leaders. He finished fifth.

Race 12 Grade A9 Time 29.34
Towerhill Joker, 7/2 to 5/2, got the BIG E at the first bend and finished fifth.
