Today, BAGS. Race 1 Grade A5 Time 28.99 In a race where the stayers trapped and the early pacers started slowly Two Badgers, 11/4 to 5/2, overcame a poor start to lead the bend and land a double. Race 3 Grade A6 Time 29.14 The Office supported Richly Deserved, 2s to 7/4, made hard work of winning this. He failed to lead the bend but turned a handy second after a bit of jostling at the second with the leader. Deserved led at the third and benefitted from trouble behind, eventually holding on by a head. Race 5 Grade A2 Time 28.34 Bowtime Jack, 7/2 to 3s, turned third and kept on well to finish an every chance second. Race 6 Grade A5 Time 28.63 The Offices backed Cracking King, 7/2 to 9/4, who trapped better than usual but took a nudge at the first bend before having his path blocked at the second. He finished fifth. Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.08 A bit of a bloodless defeat for Have a Gawk, 5/2 to 7/4, who could not be expected to match the time of the winner . She missed the break, took a crowd at the bend before moving off wide at the second. She came out of the second turn in third place and finished fourth. Race 9 Grade A4 Time 28.57 Tyrur TommyJoe, 7/2 to 7/4, missed the break and turned in second place after moving very wide at the second. This move allowed the winner turn a close third and said dog led on the run in with TommyJoe just beaten into third. Race 10 Grade A3 Time 28.23 Springwell Trixy, 7/2 to 5/2, simply can't do the time the improved winner did here but her performance was still disappointing. She trapped best and turned in second place but was beaten for pace to the third by the dog who had turned in fourth place. She was crowded at the third bend and finished third. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.22 Tewmax Leejay, 9/4 to 2s, came up against another graduate from Just Andy's Academy of Early Pace and turned in second place. He was handy at the third when forced to check and found no extra finishing fifth. Race 12 Grade A7 Time 28.89 Milestone Mirage, 7/2 to 5/2, made a poor fist of winning this. A slow start, not much pace to the bend and then first and third bend crowds saw her finish last,.

Also do you know if the bowser went round during this afternoon's meeting...

I'd have given the first three races as -20 but that's just my opinion. I don't know if the bowser went round. I don't know why it should have, given that the forecast going was on the slow side which was what it turned out to be in the early races.

Tonight, so warm Precious checked to make sure the heating wasn't on. The bowser went round before Race 6. Inside runners went very well. Darrenamundo has a three timer. Race 1 Grade A9 Time 28.91 Once the winner got out within a length of most of these the race became a formality as she raced to the front on the run up leaving Lamborghini, 7/4 to evens, toiling in her slip stream. The favourite finished second. Race 2 Grade A7 Time 28.89 Goosey Lucy, 5s to 4s, finally brought home the bacon to her hungry followers. She trapped fast, turned in third place and then outstayed the early leader to lead approaching the line. Race 4 Grade A8 Time 29.14 With the eventual winner turning right on the run up the white sheeted Fast Turbo, 7/4 to 5/4, took a series of bumps which was finished off with a bump at the bend. She finished fourth. Race 5 Grade S4 Time 36.21 With the race reduces to four runners Hug the Rails was well backed from 4/5 to 4/7. She trapped fast and raced clear for a win of some ease. Race 7 Grade A2 Time 27.85 You can't argue with the time of the winner but the fast starting Jacksaledge, evens to 8/11, had the blue sheeted stayer awfully handy at the third bend and was possibly done a favour when the white sheet crowded said dog at the last bend. Race 8 Grade A6 Time 28.68 McGahons Storm, 2s to 6/4, started slowly and had to play catch up with the fast starting winner. Running very wide wasn't a help but Storm ran quite well to finish second. Race 9 Grade A1 Time 28.22 Devious Rumble, 3s to 11/4, moved off at the bend and took a bump. He turned in third place with a lot to do and ran on well for third place though his proximity to the winner at the line was a reflection of the moderate time. Bourne Supremacy, backed at 3s, was on top of the leaders at the bend following a missed break but took a bad bump which was followed by a third bend crowd and he finished fourth. Race 10 Grade A6 Time 28.41 Coolderry Katie looked very keen on parade though by that time she had already been backed from 9/4 to 6/4. She trapped well and soon led winning easily. Race 11 Grade S2 Time 35.72 Graigues Rolla, 7/2 to 3s, soon raced clear for an easy win. Ballinaglera Lad, backed at 9/4, quickly took up second and finished there. Droopys Glenda, 3s to 6/4, was bumped back to fifth place at the bend and finished fourth. Race 12 Grade A4 Time 28.60 Baby Blue Hawk, backed at 7/4, looked booked for a solo here and duly got one leading from the second bend to the third where the early leader came back for more but when this challenger moved off at the fourth Hawk re-took the lead and extended it to the line. Kelmar Holly, 4s to 5/2, gave most of these a start and finished fourth after turning fourth. Race 13 Grade A3 Time 28.17 Proud Darkie, 3s to 5/2, trapped best and showed impressive initial acceleration to hold a commanding lead by the first bend. He won easily. Strawberry Hall, 9/4 to 2s, missed the break and held second place to the last bend before finishing fifth. Leathams Marvel, backed at 5s, missed the break and was crowded at the bend. Sadly he appeared to go lame and finished last.

Tonight, very warm. Quick going. The Bowser went round before Race 6. The Great Thompsoni has a three timer. Race 1 Grade A7 Time 28.69 The out of form but downgraded Jacks Economy, 9/4 to 2s, led from the first to the third bend and finished a one paced fourth. Race 3 Grade A9 Time 28.95 Whatever the supporters of the unexposed Mandys Back, 5/4 to evens, thought she might find she didn't and she finished a well beaten fifth following a slow start. Race 4 Grade S3 Time 35.96 There must still be a question hanging over That's a Fact, backed here from 2s to 5/4, as to whether he stays this trip at top pace. Being led clear by Grandads Rifle didn't really answer the question and he finished second. Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.42 Napoleon once said, but not to Precious , that he preferred lucky Generals to capable ones. Here we saw Kersal Mason, 3s to 2s, missing the trouble at the bend after giving these a start and turn in second place. He did the necessary on the run in. Aero Venetian, backed early at 11/4, was, on the other hand, a very unlucky loser. He trapped fast but found the early paced blue sheet inside him and he a took a terrible clattering at the bend. Back in fifth place at the second bend, with plenty to do, the dog ran on really well to finish within a length of the winner. Tyrur Jessica, 8s to 6s, finished fifth after being involved in the first bend melee. Race 6 Grade A3 Time 28.06 Present Danger, 3s to 6/4, held the inside at the bend and led to the line where the strong running Grandads Radar, 7s to 6s, just got up. He had turned in fourth place and ran on well. Bawnfune Bound, 7/2 to 3s, was one of the dogs handy at the first and he took a bump there before finishing fifth. Race 7 Grade A2 Time 27.99 Night Time North, 6/4 to 11/8, finished fourth following a missed break and she performed like a bitch returning from seasonal rest Karma Breeze, 4s to 7/2, started slowly and was forced to check at the second before finishing fifth. Race 8 Grade A6 Time 28.64 Tullymurry Bambi, 7/2 to 3s, enjoyed a solo at the bend and turned a handy third. She led at the third bend to land the spoils. Sup Lolls, backed at 7/4, turned in fourth place and looked dangerous approaching the third bend but the black sheet got up her inside and she was shuffled wide between bends three and four. She ran on well to finish second. Tyrur Hayes, 4s to 7/2, started slowly and finished last never having showed. Race 9 Grade A5 Time 28.58 Robinho, 9/2 to 4s, trapped best and made all. Fionas Fury, 6/4 to 5/4, started slowly and was bumped at the turn . She turned third and finished third. Kit, 3s to 11/4, found plenty of trouble at the first two bends and again at the fourth and finished fifth. Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.50 Jorjen Jak, backed at evens quickened very well to lead at the second and she won convincingly. Nans Lily, 8s to 6s, was in the rear by the second following a crowd but stayed on to finish second. Race 11 Grade A1 Time 27.67 This race was named 'the Main Event' but could have been named more appropriately as 'Don King grades the A1 Stakes' . Here we saw the Track Champion, Watch Dave, pitted against dogs trying to move from the second division of A1 into the 'Top Notcher' group. He was also berthed in a trap from which he has a 100% success rate. Amazingly he opened at 2s and he was sent off the 5/4 favourite. He trapped clear and made all never looking likely to be caught. Slippery Jimmy, backed at 7/2, might have made the best fist of it pursuing Dave but, after starting slowly, he turned third dog and was progressing into second at the third bend when he collided with the stripes and dropped back. He finished fourth. Lets have more of this type of race, Don .

Today, BAGS. Bev and Paulo dominate proceedings with four timers.
Race 1 Grade A8 Time 29.25 Dazzlem Dave, 7/2 to 3s, started slowly and had nowhere to run at the bend. He was crowded at this point and was then badly hampered at the second. He finished a well beaten fourth.
Race 2 Grade A2 Time 28.38 Arcade Tina, 4s to 7/2, finished last after being badly hampered at the first bend following a missed break.
Race 3 Grade A7 Time 28.99 Kersal Missy, 5/2 to 7/4, trapped well and then glanced to her right to check out the opposition. 'Watch this!' She accelerated to the front but could only hold her lead to the run in and finished second.
Race 4 Grade A6 Time 28.67 Nicoles Purse, 11/4 to 9/4, turned second after trapping well and being handy at the bend. She couldn't hold her position from the third bend and finished fourth.
Race 5 Grade A6 Time 28.84 Support for Derrane Slippy, 3s to 5/4, who didn't perform at all after a slow start. He was crowded at the second bend, made no progress and finished fifth. Its a long time since he won.
Race 6 Grade A3 Time 28.27 End of the Line, backed at 4s, held the rails, led the bend and was clear by the third. Late Whiskey, 2s to 7/4 made a slow start and found he had nowhere to go at the bend after showing a touch of early. He put the brakes on and found himself last dog at the second bend which is where he finished.
Race 7 Grade A4 Time 28.65 Tyrur Kagawa, 5/2 to 2s, led everything bar his quick starting kennel chum. He finished second.
Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.63 Martins Flyer, 5s to 9/2, started slowly and, after a first bend crowd, found himself in fourth place with a lot to do. He paced to the third and ran on to finish second.
Race 9 Grade A3 Time 28.30 Ballyhill Ruby, 9/4 to 7/4, was crowded at the bend and turned in fourth place which is where she finished.
Race 10 Grade A4 Time 28.14 Forza Keldon has been letting his kennel down a bit since he arrived at the track but showed massive improvement here to route his opponents. Backed from 3s to 7/4, he trapped well and was in command by the first. A fine turn of pace took him well clear by the third bend. The time was smart for an A4.
Race 11 Grade A1 Time 28.16 The Big I Am, 11/4 to 5/2, is a smart dog who wins races that other dogs lose through poor trackcraft. Here, he missed the break and it appeared unlikely that he would get a run at the bend. However, when the red sheet was hampered on the rails Big grabbed the inside and led at the second. He held off a challenge from the stripes to the third bend and seized a lead he held on to to the line. Sinatra Tim, 7/2 to 9/4, also missed the break and looked on the point of leading the bend when badly hampered. He finished fourth.

Today, BAGS. A flying track. The Bowser went round before Race 6. Race 5 Grade A3 Time 27.84 Kittys Memory, 7/2 to 3s, made a fast start and quickened to the front at the second bend. Race 7 Grade A8 Time 28.79 Office money for Captain Cook, 7/2 to 5/2, who finished a decent third after turning in fourth place following a slow start. Race 8 Grade A9 Time 28.93 The merit of the performance by the Office supported Thornton Tina, 7/4 to 6/4, is best judged by looking at the record of the dog who beat her a sh and he had trouble at the third bend. Race 10 Grade A2 Time 27.79 Night Time North, 2s to 7/4, couldn't match the early of some of these and was crowded at the first bend. She was back in fifth at the second and following a major bump involving most of the field at the third she finished a well beaten third. Race 11 Grade A6 Time 28.32 With no early pace in the race Sizzling Champ, 3s to 5/2, looked sure to lead these and did so despite a slow start. However the quick starting red sheet quickened very well to lead off the second bend leaving Champ having to do what he just can't do which is come from behind stayers. He finished second.

Tonight, very warm. The track had been harrowed this morning and was bowsered before Race 7. Joy has a four timer. Race 1 Grade A9 Time 29.40 Staring Maisie, 6s to 5s, held on to her 100% losing record by the skin of her teeth and her performance here suggests that she may well lose that record in the next few weeks. She led on the run up to the second bend, challenged at the third and came back for more on the run in going down by the minimum distance. Race 4 Grade A6 Time 28.75 Bat Again, backed at 7/2, turned in second place and stayed on to finish second. Sup Lolls, 6/4 to 5/4, needed to trap well and secure a good position at the bend to win this but missed her break and was forced to check back to fifth at the bend. She made progress to the third, didn't get the best of runs there and stayed on to finish third. Race 5 Grade A5 Time 28.39 Fionas Fury, 7/4 to 6/4, showed an impressive turn of early foot to settle the issue on the run up. Tuesdays Gift, 4s to 7/2, started slowly and, after a first bend crowd, turned in third place a position she held to the third bend. She then chased on well for second place. Bourne A Legend, 7/2 to 3s, made a very poor start but managed to turn in fourth place after taking an inside route at the bend. Under the circumstances third place at the line was a decent effort. Tyrur Leyden, 7/2 to 3s, didn't secure the lead he craves and therefor couldn't win. He held second place from the bend to the run in and finished fourth. Race 6 Grade OR Time 28.02 Rackethall Tiger, 6/4 to 11/8, secured the lead at the bend and won without much fuss. Watch Dave, 7/4 to 6/4, was crowded slightly on the run up and was handy at the bend where he was crowded. He never got in a challenge after that and a further crowd at the third bend meant he had to settle for fifth place. Race 7 Grade A3 Time 28.12 Ballyhill Ruby, 3s to 5/2, trapped clear and won well. Race 8 Grade A3 Time 28.31 Followthe Master, backed at 5/2, soon led but only as far as the run in and finished third. Race 9 Grade A2 Time 28.13 Altcar Stanley, 9/4 to 2s, took a winning lead on the run up. Race 11 Grade S2 Time 35.79 Karma Effect, 5/2 to 7/4 ran the bend very well to lead between bends one and two and win impressively. Golden Orchid, 3s to 2s, on the other hand, missed the break and saw his progress come to a juddering halt at the first bend. He turned fourth and finished a well beaten third. Race 12 Grade A4 Time 28.40 The kettle watched with amazement and then with amusement as the kettle took the very first show of 5/4 about Nero Ned . This dog needed to buck up his ideas following a series of disappointing displays and he strode onto the track looking very keen and with plenty of purpose. When the traps opened Ned flashed out one and a half lengths in front of his nearest rival and set sail for victory but was collared on the line by the winner. He went off the 4/5 fav. Race 13 Grade A1 Time 28.26 A gutsy effort from Hits our Busty, 5/4 to 4/7, who made one of his slow motion exits before taking the BIG E at the first bend. Under the circumstances he ran well to finish second beaten only a length.
